This issue’s featured Top Barkeep is Dave from
The Spot and The Eagles. Dave has been a Havasu resident for 18 years. He’s famous for his Mudslides but also likes to make Martinis, the dirty ones! In addition to being a great bartender Dave is just an overall good guy. He’s always good for conversation and talking sports but be warned, he’s an avid Raider fan. We won’t hold that against him though. Haha! Currently Dave’s got a great $5 personal pizza and a beer (or soda) special going on during his shift at The Spot, a deal you just can’t pass up! Dave also tends bar at the Eagles on the weekends where he is known for doing a lot of charity work for our community. Hey Dave, we’re proud to know you and keep up the great work! Dave’s a beer guy, so if you happen to catch him off duty buy him a Miller Lite and get to know him a little!
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know a little bit about
“Tantrum” and some shows they have coming up. “Tantrum” spent the last three years climbing to the top of the bar bands list, setting a high standard for the existing and up coming bands. Then this past summer, lead vocalist Jim Seltenreich decided to make some well needed changes to the line-up of the band. Deciding to add a broader variety of music genre, he decided to have wife Dawn Seltenreich take over on a few lead vocals and build around that. Next he decided to add the best of the best from some of Havasu’s other bands. First he added Chris Deacon from “Fifth Element” on lead guitar. Next was Mike Hardisty from “Level 5” on Bass. Then came Rick Britt on drums from the “Beatles” cover band “Britt Invasion”. Seeing the need for a
second guitar player to allow “Tantrum” to keep doing some of the songs that put them on the map, Jim recruited original rhythm guitarist Frank Foti. The new “Tantrum” has done four shows since the new line up and has had great reviews from their old fans and some new ones too! Bar owner Vicki McKee was so pleased with the band she’s had them twice already and booked them for McKee’s Christmas party on Dec.18th. Jake’s Bar and Grill has already booked two more shows on Jan. 8th & Feb. 12th. Other shows already booked include The Office on Jan. 1st. If you haven’t ever seen “Tantrum” do yourself a favor and catch an upcoming show and see why they are Havasu’s top hard rock’n band! More info can be found on Tantrum’s Facebook page.
