A finalist on this summer’s America’s Got Talent, Mandy Harvey is an award-winning singer, songwriter and motivational speaker. She has 7PM released multiple critically-acclaimed albums, and won the VSA's International Young Soloist Award. After losing her hearing due to a neurological disorder at 18 years old, Mandy dropped out of her Vocal Music Education program at Colorado State University. She pursued several career options including education, but ultimately returned to making music. Though her hearing loss is profound her timing, pitch, and passion are perfect. Together with her band, she’ll light up the Haugh stage for an unforgettable evening. Please note: in addition to Mandy’s beautiful music, American Sign Language will be included in this production.

8 www.mandyharveymusic.com Tickets: $30 Student/Senior: $25 16 & under: $15 “From the first note, Mandy Harvey tames her audience into stunned appreciation as she glides pitch-perfect from breathy jazz standard to growling blues. ...At show’s end the audience is on its feet. Some know the secret. Harvey has not heard any of it—not the applause, not the talent of the musicians who shared the stage, not her own incredible voice.” – Los Angeles Times (626) 963-9411

MIDDLETOWN

The powerhouse all-male Argentinian dance company, Che Malambo, excites audiences with their percussive dance and music. Malambo is a dynamic blend of precision footwork, rhythmic stomping, drumming and song which originated in the 17th century in the South American Pampas. Born from the heart of the Argentine gaucho, it soon evolved to include what is now its hallmark, zapeteo, the fast-paced footwork inspired by the rhythm of galloping horses. Malambo also features the drumming of traditional Argentine bombos and whirling boleadoras, a throwing weapon made up of intertwined cords weighted with stones.

JAne AusTen’s sense & sensibiliTy

Friday, March 16, 2018 at 7PM • Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 7PM The Battle is on again for a 14th round! In the tradition of the Big Band battles from the ‘30s and ‘40s, Citrus College’s Blue Note Orchestra and Azusa Pacific University’s Jazz Ensemble join forces on one stage in a back and forth duel that features jazz, swing, and favorite standards from the glory years. Don’t miss this rematch!

Aquila expands the canon of classical works for the stage by adapting Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility in a bold and exciting new production. One of Jane Austen’s most popular novels, this story revolves around the lives of two sisters, Elinor who is level headed and full of sense, and the hopelessly romantic Marianne. After the untimely and unexpected death of their father, both sisters and their mother are forced to leave their comfortable lives, while their half brother and his wife inherit the family estate. The only hope for these two sisters is a profitable marriage. Directed by Aquila’s artistic director Desiree Sanchez, this classic romantic comedy will incorporate her innovative use of space, movement, design, and sound.
