Weaponry on “Victoria” is Uncovered On 15 March, IDF Navy fighters intercepted the cargo vessel "Victoria" loaded with various weaponry. The vessel, flying under a Liberian flag, was intercepted some 200 miles west of Israel's coast. This incident was part of the Navy's routine activity to maintain security and prevent arms smuggling, in light of IDF security assessments. The force was met with no resistance from the crew on-board. The vessel is led by the Israeli Navy to an Israeli port for further searches and detailed inspection of the cargo. Terror Attack in Itamar At least one terrorist infiltrated the West Bank settlement of Itamar, southeast of Nablus, late Friday n i g ht ( 1 1 March) and stabbed to death Udi (36) and Ruth (35) Fogel, and their children Yoav, 11, Elad, 4, and 3-month-old Hadas. - FM Liberman instructed the Israeli delegation to the United Nations to file a harsh complaint to the UN secretarygeneral and the president of the Security Council following the terror attack. - PM Netanyahu on the terrorist attack in Itamar: "Not only must the incitement stop but education for peace must begin."

Israel Paying Pensions
Israel has started transferring pension payments to Gaza Strip residents who worked in Israel before the blockade was imposed on the strip, COGAT (the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories ), a Defense Ministry unit, said last week. According to the arrangement reached by COGAT, the Interior Ministry and Palestinian Authority, Israel recently deposited a sum of NIS 1.6 million in the Bank of Palestine in Ramallah. Eurovision 2011 Dana International will represent Israel in the 2011 Eurovision song contest, after winning a preliminary singing contest on Tuesday. For the first time in six years, audience members chose the Israeli representative to the Eurovision, instead of the Israel Broadcasting Authority.
The singer won the competition by a landslide with her song "Ding Dong," written by famed musician and composer Tzvika Pik, who had also collaborated with International the last time she took part in the Eurovision competition. Click here to read more.
