We have done an Energy Audit and Blower Door test for the building, and we have great news!
✓ Blower door test is used for measuring the air permeability level in envelope of the building, to diagnose and demonstrate air leakage problems, evaluate the natural infiltration rates, calculate efficiency losses from air leaks and to certify the integrity of structure.
Automated testing provides computerized "Blower Door" fan control and automated capture of building pressure, as well as takes the measurements of fan out-flow. These features reduces the human error factor, ensure that the test is carried out every time the same, which improves the accuracy of the test.
In Latvian construction regulations maximum permissible air permeability if the pressure difference is 50 Pa for residential houses, nursing homes, hospitals, kindergartens and public buildings - for buildings with a mechanical ventilation system with recuperation - q 50 ≤ 1.5 m 3 /(m 2 x h)
✓ Harmony Home have 0,41 m3 / (m2 x h) this figure improves our total home energy efficiency figure to 23 kWh/year calculations on paper without tests was 28 kWh/year
✓ The air exchange rate of a house conforming to passive house standards is n50, max = 0.6 ‐ 1h.
So, we have apartment building with passive house standards!
