Our museum provides different glimpses of history, art and culture. You find a variety of themes and activities. All departments are open for groups all year round, but group tours must be booked in advance. All departments offer guided tours, have exhibitions in their topic, nice cafés with homemade food and souvenir shops that offer quality memories to take back home. 99% of our visitors in 2014 recommended a visit to our museum. The outdoor museum is situated by the fjord at Utne. Guided tour in exhibitions on Hardanger embroidery, costumes, folk music and art exhibitions. Activities and courses on Hardanger embroidery, traditional baking and folkmusic on request. Teambuilding for up to 100 persons.

Agatunet has 30 houses including the unique Lagmannstova (magistate’s house), one of the best kept secular mediaeval buildings in Norway. You will find exhibitions, and we arrange concerts and other arrangements. Guided tours of the farm village. Film showing how the peninsula was shaped. Cider tasting on request.

Kabuso in Øystese offers guided tours of temporary art exhibitions and concerts in our chamber music hall (for 150 listeners). A beautiful park connects with the sculpture collection. Films about the lives of important Norwegian artists. In Summer 2015 you will find an exhibition on the works of Edvard Munch.

Experience the smell of tar and the sea at Hardanger Maritime Museum in Norheimsund. See the craftsmen at work. The activity leadres assist you in the guest work shops with maritime craftwork. Stroll through the dockyard filled with vintage boats. Films on maritime stories. Activiities in Teambuilding, max100 pax. Try traditional rowing boats.

Situated on the hillside overlooking Voss. You gain an insight into the farming life of the past. The open-air museum consists of farm buildings from 1500-1870, which stand where they once were built. Guided tours in the open-air museum. Exhibitions, both permanent and temporary. Activities on request.
