Steinsdalsfossen waterfall One of the most popular waterfalls in Norway. The Steinsdalsfossen has a fall of 50 m and is special because you can walk safe and dry behind it. The fall occured in 1699 when the river changed course. There is a footpath from the car park up to and under the waterfall. Along National Tourist Route Hardanger. Tourist information office.

Hardanger Maritime Museum Museum focusing on maritime culture. The workshops are in full production with rope making, blacksmith and building traditional wooden boats. Exhibits, guides tours, maritime films, an activity routes that challenges your practical skills. Hire of traditional rowing boats, with instructor if requested. Enjoy relaxing at the pier or in the café. The café serves local light meals and home baked cakes.

Hardanger Akvasenter On a fully operational salmon farm the visitors get the opportunity to see and learn about one of Norway’s main export industries. The centre has an exhibition with underwater cameras, videos and other exhibits explaining the life cycle of the salmon and modern aquaculture. A visit includes a guided tour on the facility, including feeding the fish. A recommended option for groups is to include a salmon lunch or sample tasting as a part of the tour. All food is served in the second floor, with great views of the area and the farm itself. Open all year on request.
Steinstø Fruktgard / Fruitfarm Stop and taste the probably best apple pie in the world at Steinstø Fruitfarm. Farm visit for groups: Join a guided tour around the farm to learn about the berry-, fruit- and juiceproduction. Fantastic view over the Hardangerfjord and the Folgefonna glacier. Local food; lunch or coffee/ applecake is served in the farm restaurant, seating 70 persons. Farm outlet: Homemade cakes,”lefse”, jams, berries, fruit , applejuice and other local products. The outlet will be opened for groups all year round.

Gullfiskvatnet You can feed “goldfish” here! The goldfish in question are Ide, released into Skårsvatnet in 1914. Good picnic and bathing area.

Ascent 300 m, 45 min one way. - Footpath in Fitjadalen, a walk around the Fitjadalsvatnet, approx. 7 km. Hikingmaps for Kvam, Kvamskogen and Fyksesund Landskapspark available.
