I came to Australia and established a brokering/trading company to take advantage of the positive perception of Australian products in Europe. I came across an opportunity to broker advertising contracts and decided to focus on that after the first month of working on the opportunity. The role involved a lot of cold calling retailers at corporate head offfice level as well as individual franchisees. As a contract broker I would travel around Australia to sign up merchants to multi-retailer alliance programs from 5 key categories based on geographical communities or catchment areas. All participating retailers had to offer something for free over a period of 6 months. All contracts provided free products or services with big contracts amounting to AU$350,000. è Deal Size Range – up to $300,000 è Remuneration on success base only (no base - per contract) è Reached all time contract brokerage record (total value of contracts brokered AU$33 million after two months) è Brokered around 1000 contracts over a period of 12 months As the Contract Sales Agent, I wrote and secured 7 contracts a day on average, securing them from a variety of franchised retail chains at corporate level or individual retailers across Australia. Kiosk Coupon Redemption Solution î Holden required a rewards redemption solution for Motorshow’s around the country. The solution needed to eliminate the need for a call centre staff to handle phone orders and issue and snail mail printed paper-based coupons. A stand-alone kiosk solution was developed, fitted with a high capacity thermal printers (approx. 3500 tickets) and a wireless modem for secure remote monitoring.
