TO YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD BOOK EXPERTS Grace

Mimi: "My favorite genres to read are Literary Fiction, Spirituality and Self Help. A wise woman once shared with me, "we read to be educated, entertained and emotionally moved". I love to read books that help to unite my mind, body and spirit.

Donna

Mimi

I recommend "Oh She Glows Every Day",the newest cookbook by Angela Liddon. The book was just released the day of the picture, so I was quite excited to have it in my hands. I own her prior cookbook titled the "The Oh She Glows Cookbook". It is filled with so many delicious plant based recipes. You are truly eating your "colors" when you cook from this book!" Rebecca: "My favorite genres are fiction, short story, non-fiction, and memoir. Short stories are little literary treasures which may be tucked into the folds of the day, and memoirs are so personal and insightful, they help readers grow as human beings! Two books I would recommend are "The Nix" by Nathan Hill and "Homegoing" by Yaa Gyasi. These novels are the work of two incredibly talented debut authors and represent significant new voices published for the first time in 2016."

Rebecca Claire

Grace: "My favorite genres are memoir and non-fiction, but I love a great novel also!

Sam

I recommend a book I just finished, "The Nest" by Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney. I was loving every page! It is about a family of dysfunctional adult siblings, struggling over a lost family inheritance because of one of the sibling's very bad behavior. What's not to love? Funny, smart, and wickedly entertaining." Claire: "My favorite genre is by far science fiction. I love how it's both an advertisement and a warning for what the future could become. The aesthetic of Rebecca Chaperon's "Eerie Dearies" is perfect. It's cute and pink, but has morbid undertones too. The art in it is lovely." Donna: "My favorite genres are historical fiction, literary fiction, and children's books. Oh, and I do like a great personal growth book! I chose to suggest "The Marriage of Opposites" by Alice Hoffman, because it's a multi-layered story by an author who has a large body of work and every book is remarkable! I also chose Amor Towles' "A Gentleman in Moscow". Towles is a writer so gifted, I imagine his grocery list makes people weep."

12

549 Wellington Square | Eagleview Town Center

Sam: "My favorite genre is science fiction, but the radio show (The Avid Reader Show) has expanded my reading horizons dramatically."

TO THE HEAD OF THE MARKET

Hi! I’m Lisa ONeill, from Growing Roots. It has been my pleasure over the past three years to bring a farmers market to Eagleview Town Center, that is stocked with amazing local fruits, vegetables, meats, farm fresh eggs, cheese, wholesome breads, and artisan products also made with local ingredients. We’ve had another wonderful season here in Eagleview Town Center. Our market continues to grow with dedicated shoppers who visit with us weekly, rain or shine. This year, we introduced our Loyal2Local program to encourage all of our shoppers to make a trip to the farmers market a part of their weekly routine. It was quite a success! Next year, we’ll be growing our Eat Ur Veggie program designed to introduce kids to a variety of healthy veggies. Interestingly enough, the kids at the market are often more adventurous and willing to try new veggies than their parents. Looks like we have our work cut out for us! We are very thankful for the unwavering support of our Eagleview Farmers Market shoppers. Our little market creates that an amazing opportunity for small scale farmers and food producers in the Greater Chester County region to be successful. Without you, that wouldn't be possible. See you at the market!
