Diverse Forms 6 May to 15 July A showcase of works by Southern Contemporaries, which celebrates the diversity of two and three dimensional art with a rich and varied exhibition. This contemporary show will provide a visual delight. FREE
Inspired by the Word
10 June to 2 September This county-wide exhibition by contemporary artists celebrates the literature of three great Hampshire writers; Jane Austen, Edward Thomas and Gilbert White. The museumâ€™s beautiful gardens are host to a small exhibition of sculptural works marking 200 years since Jane Austenâ€™s death. Gizmobots 22 July to 2 September Gizmobots are robots that start life as finds from skips, secondhand shops, car boot sales and scrapyards. Each gizmobot is carefully crafted so that all the parts come together to create a very desirable, quirky robot, each with their own distinct personality. Visit our familyfriendly exhibition and spend time recognising the bits and pieces from familiar home appliances and everyday objects that make our amazing gizmobots. FREE

RNLI Garden Fete 15 July, 1:00pm â€“ 4:00pm The Christchurch RNLI returns for another year of fundraising in the gardens. Lots of stalls, refreshments and activities for children. FREE
Marie Curie Blooming Great Tea Party 12 August, 11:00am - 2:30pm Show your support for the Christchurch and Highcliffe branch at the Great Tea Party with a raffle, tombola, plants and books. There will be games to enjoy and music from Curly the Busker. Refreshments and cream teas will also be available. FREE
The Friends of Stanpit Marsh Summer Fayre 19 August, 11:00am - 3:30pm Join us for our Summer Fayre. Pick up our loyalty card and enjoy your sixth hot drink on us! Browse our pre-loved books, and pop into the museum shop for gifts inspired by our collections and made by local crafts people. Both the gardens and museum are available for hire for meetings, functions or receptions. The south gardens make an excellent space for special events, while our upstairs education room is suitable for groups of up to 30 with presentation facilities including Wi-Fi. Teddies in Togas 10 August, 12noon – 2:00pm When you go down to the villa today, you are sure for a big surprise! Bring along your favourite teddy and have fun dressing them up in laurel wreaths and togas for a special teddy bears’ picnic. Bring a picnic and blanket, and join us for some fantastic storytelling fun! Outdoor event. Stories suitable for 3 – 8 year olds. Cost: £1.00 per child for activities in addition to normal admission charge
