Wired by Target is located conveniently around a highly trafficked area of campus along Tyler Mall, beside Old Main. This area shares an approximately equal distance from all dorms, allowing for greater student convenience.
Day to Night Transformation
During day hours, the outer layer of shelves remains above ground, housing all merchandise in both open shelving ready to be grabbed by students and closed, locked cabinets full of merchandise for restocking the adjacent shelves. Fresh produce is available in the middle ring, housed in drawers that can be retracted into the wall and locked for safekeeping. During the night hours, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., Wired by Target converts from convenient shopping center to innovative gaming hub that allows for students to break from studying in a way that fosters relationships with peers and creative problem solving. Outer shelves sink down into the floor to be converted into a seating area forgaming students. Students enter with a swipe of their issues IDs to ensure security.
