In case of slightest deviation, the person will be treated as a suspect and necessary steps for isolating the person from the crowd will be taken.

If the Saudi authorities at the checkpoint are doubtful about the authenticity of the certificate, they may make the person to take re-vaccination. Such visitors are given a dose of chemo prophylaxis to prevent the disease and spread of infection. According to the International Health Regulations, a yellow fever vaccination certificate is necessary for travelers coming from countries gripped by yellow fever. In case, the person has not taken any immunization shot, he or she will be vaccinated upon arrival, and kept under surveillance for six days. The health officers at the checkpoints will furnish necessary details of the person under surveillance to the respective Director General of Health Affairs.
