he last ball has been bowled and the last pint served t was another successful season for our tea s but unfortunately no silverware n the end pro otion was not uite to be for the nd , who went into their nal atch knowing that only a win would do, and they would be relying on happel akes olne slipping up e certainly did everything we could with what play was possible, having Halstead at one point, with lly lark taking , the best bowling gures of the season n the end Halstead reached and when Hadleigh were the deluge ca e, and wow did it rain! oth ours and happel’s ga es were abandoned, and that eant that rran a pion’s side nished in rd place in ivision , points o the top two loss to rockley at the end of ugust proved decisive, but it was still a great season for the side, with a eron Stace, i i and aylor ocke all contributing heavily with the bat he st nished in nd place again in ivision , but this ti e points behind the perennial cha pions Halstead ur overseas player insley dlovu ended the season on a high with not out against oggeshall, and he can be pleased with his all round tally of runs and wickets lly lark and ack uld were a handful for ost bats en, while en allis took wickets and ade runs so eti es at no including his aiden century for the club sa a lyas was the discovery of the season, travelling every weekend fro ondon and hitting the fastest century in the club’s history on his debut, and following that up with two ore s

he Sunday st nished with two defeats, but not before had Swingler had scored his aiden league to help us fro a perilous position against winstead, and ia hare a and irav ailor enjoyed the selves in the nal atch at ong elford t was a di cult rst season for the cade y , as we knew it probably would be, but with young players aking their debuts they will be stronger for the e perience he adies were only able to play one atch because of a severe shortage of players, but we will hope to rebuild over the winter t the club’s end of season presentations, the awards were won by the following players pictured above
