Behaviour Management Workshops Deaf Parenting UK will be running a series of workshops for Deaf Parents at Hackney Deaf Parent Group. Behaviour Management’ Workshop Session 1: Monday 18 March 2013 Ways to build positive relationships with your child/ren - ideas, challenges, and sharing experiences. Session 2: Monday 20 May 2013

Parenting together - including parents who have separated. Thinking about promoting consistency, different parenting approaches and dealing with disagreements. Session 3: Monday 16 September 2013 Responding to difficult behaviour - the importance of non-verbal communication, praise and ignoring. Club Night @ Forest Road Hub, 17th February

Cycling opportunities The Hit Squad and Short Breaks team are working with Bike Works again to do 4 cycling sessions which are completely inclusive. There are all kinds of bikes â&#x20AC;&#x201C; for wheelchair users there is a chair that can be attached to the front of the bike so they have the feeling of moving fast on a bike & adapted bikes for all abilities. This event was really popular before and

has resulted in several children starting to ride bikes and to attend the clubs at the weekends in Finsbury Park and Victoria park with their families. There are also opportunities to be part of a league competition cycling for children with learning difficulties and we would like to encourage everyone to attend so if you have anyone in mind please let them or us know â&#x20AC;&#x201C; we have to book people in to know how many are coming and what their needs are. We will send round flyers when they are produced. All these sessions will take place at Petchey Academy (like before) on the following dates:
