On 15th December 1944, American bandleader Glenn Miller left a small airfield near Bedford, UK en route to Paris, and was never seen again.

To this day, the mystery surrounding his disappearance has intrigued and frustrated historians, scholars and fans alike. However, there is another and perhaps greater mystery to consider.

The History Boys is set in a school in the North of England where a boisterous bunch of bright, funny sixth-formers are attempting to gain entrance to Oxford and Cambridge whilst fending off the distractions of sport and sex. In Alan Bennett’s much-loved play, staff room battles and the anarchy of adolescence provide a rich vein of comedy. The History Boys opened in May 2004 at the National Theatre to rave reviews and a sellout run. It went on to win 30 major awards including both Olivier and Tony Awards for Best New Play – with a film version following soon after. This will be the first major revival of the play since the original production.

If you are aged between 11 & 16 years and enjoy singing, Kernow Voice offers a weekly opportunity to learn new songs. All are welcome and no previous experience is required. KV2 is a singing group for 15+ to adults who love to sing. There are no auditions and you do not need to read music to take part and enjoy the repertoire of songs.

Drama Upstage Youth Theatre is open to all between 7 & 18 years of age (subject to available places) and meets on Saturdays at HfC. There are no auditions and the focus is on meeting people, exploring a love of theatre and improving stage skills. The day is split into three sessions by age group. As well as having a great deal of fun our members improve their general confidence and are signposted to special opportunities throughout the year.
