Paristot vaihtoon Change your batteries
Toinen saa sitä onnistumisista, toinen jostain aivan muusta. Itse olen taistellut, jotta saisin sitä opiskelujeni loppukiriin. Mistä saamme bensiiniä koneisiimme – mistä energiaa? Tänä lukukautena sain puhtia motivoituneista koulukavereistani, luomisen ilosta ja okei, niistä superfoodeista, joista voit lukea lisää sivulta 28. Tekemisen ilo on tarttunut muihinkin: Lahden Muotoiluinstituutin opiskelijat auttoivat meitä H2-lehden juttujen kuvituksissa. Muotsikan opiskelijoiden kädenjälki näkyy niin kannessa kuin energia-jutun kuvituksessa. On korvaamatonta löytää uusia opiskelijakavereita vielä opiskelun viimemetreillä. Voin vain toivoa, että tämä on yhteistyön alku. Mielenkiintoiset henkilöt ja hyvin kirjoitetut jutut antavat minulle inspiraatiota. Toivottavasti sinä nautit lehtemme jutuista yhtä paljon kuin me nautimme niiden tekemisestä. Lue lumilautailija Eero Ettalan haastattelu sivulta 16 ja poimi ideoita kesäpukeutumiseen sivulta 34 alkavasta muotijutusta. H2-kokemus on vahvistanut uskoani siitä, että olen valinnut oikean ammatin. Jokaisen tulisi löytää itselleen samanlainen kipinä opiskeluihin kuin minä olen onnistunut löytämään, tosin vasta nyt – opiskelujeni lopussa. Vinkkini onkin: tutustu paremmin opiskelukavereihisi ja uskalla laittaa itsesi likoon. Minä ainakin toivon, että olisin tehnyt sen jo aikaisemmin.
Someone gets it from succeeding; another gets it from something completely different. I have fought to get some, so that I could complete my degree. Where do we get fuel for our engines – where do we get energy? This semester my engine got started because of my motivated classmates, the fun of creating something, and okay, I admit, the superfoods (p. 28). The joy of creating something is contagious: students of Lahti Institute of Design created illustrations for the articles of H2- magazine. For example the cover picture and the illustrations from page 25 to 28 are their handprints. It is priceless to find new fellow students in the last meters of your studies. I can only hope that this is the beginning of a new collaboration. Interesting characters and well-written articles inspire me. I hope that you enjoy these articles as much as we enjoyed making them. Find out from page 23 what you can do for free in Helsinki, and pick up some inspiration for your summer wardrobe from page 34. Everyone should find him- or herself this same kind of spark for studying, as I have found now in the last meters of my studies. My tip to you: get to know your fellow students better and don’t be afraid to put yourself in the game. I know I wish that I had done it a lot sooner.
