INTERIOR DESIGN

PORTFOLIO GIUSEPPINA SPENILLO

ABOUT ME I'm an Italian Architect and I'm looking for a new work opportunity. In the last three years, I collaborated with different architecture studios, where I had the opportunity to approach me to the Interior Design. Here, I began to know the ideal materials and techniques to use for the good result of the project and the consequent search for suppliers. Actually, I have the possibility to create and develop different kitchens and living rooms for different private costumers and thanks to this, I improved my skills about the visual 3D and 2D, graphic design and post-production and for this reason, I have good ability to run small projects. In all that time, I worked as a waitress and that experience gives me the opportunity to know very well the people and to create the right way to approach me with the clients and colleagues. I have lived in England for one year and a half, which allowed me to improve my language and cultural skills because I want to have an international work experience. I consider myself a responsible, organized and creative person who always quite attentive to details. I’m very interested in the politics and history world and I have a big passion for travel and music.

Description I was asked to d evelop a project for the realization of t wo environments: the kitchen and the living room, separated by a sliding door in frosted glass. For these two environments, I decided to a dopt a c ommon language that allowed me to create synergy b etween f urniture a nd materials, modulating their use. The model of k itchen a nd living room c hosen as a r eference is "CLOVER BRIDGE b y LUBE", a s it allowed me to adapt to the space in c ompliance with t he requirements and requests o f the client.

Kitchen_ Plan

Description For this project, the "ITALIA by ARCLINEA" kitchen model has been adopted, which adapts perfectly to the space assigned to it. The project foresees that this environment is completed by a false ceiling and the wall that divides it from the living room. For the latter, it was decided to propose two solutions: The FIRST PROPOSAL m oves along a line of s emi-vaulted wall, w hich c loses the kitchen t owards the living room, made accessible only through a sliding door in frosted copper glass.

Description The commissioned project involved the construction of a new apartment on an existing building. This project consists of TWO different ZONES OF PERTINENCE: The DAY AREA consists of the kitchen, the utility room / laundry, the veranda and the living room; The NIGHT AREA, however, consists of a large corridor with a walk-in closet, a master bathroom, a studio and three bedrooms, the double bedroom with a bathroom and a walk-in closet. The particularity of the building lies in the presence, between the sleeping area and the living area, of a difference in height of 0.94 cm, which made it possible to obtain particular use areas especially for the kitchen. Here we have roof-top living space, which gives this area a rustic look in contrast to the modern appearance given by the chosen furnishings. The sleeping area has a false ceiling that allows less heat loss and makes the various rooms more comfortable.

LIVING ROOM

Description For the project of the fitted wall relative to t he living room, I started from the reuse of a n already existing m arble fireplace, t hrough which, in synergy with t he k itchen, several wooden directional lines w ere constructed, which composed, depending on the position, d ifferent m odules, r anging from the simple module pertaining to t he f ireplace, subsequently covered in stone, t o container modules, which in turn are coated with t he s ame materials u sed in the kitchen. T his part of t he project is completed with a small sofa m odule, which o ccupies the angular part of t he equipped wall, so as to have a further seat.

Description For the design of this double bedroom, I wanted to create a very natural environment, mixing the natural tones of wood with a very dark green tone in contrast with the white that gives the room a greater brightness. I also thought to combine these two colors on a wallpaper decorated with a regular floral theme, placing it on the two walls immediately adjacent to the dark green wall behind the head of the bed. The selected furnishings are related to the "FLY by BRAGIN DESIGN" line, which maintains, especially on the nightstands and in the dresser, almost the same pattern that is shown on the wallpaper.
