Edition No. 11

Adding years to your life & life to your years

A directory of social activities for those over 50 (but not exclusively) across the Borough of Great Yarmouth

2017/18 Charity No. 1095214

Foreword A warm welcome to this eleventh edition of the Ageless Opportunities Directory of Social Activities. There are over 130 groups/activities listed, covering everything from art groups, pilates and table tennis through to money help and volunteering opportunities. So I hope you will find something to suit you, and possibly a number of activities to join in with! As in previous years some groups have chosen not to be in this year’s Directory as they already have waiting lists. It is great to know they are so busy. Several new groups have opened this year, so have a good look through to see what else you might be tempted to join. My thanks again to Great Yarmouth Community Trust for researching and compiling this Directory, particularly to Kate Platt and Rachel Elkin. Also to Sue Salter for her sterling work on the essential task of proof reading. There are still a number of groups looking for people to be on their committee, often in order to keep going. Please volunteer to help them if you can. If you would like another copy of the Directory please call in to the Priory Centre reception to collect it or call 01493 743000 and they will send you a copy. (If you would like more than one copy please collect them as they are not able to send them out in numbers). I hope you enjoy whichever activities you choose. Best wishes to you all.

Ian Southam Founder, Ageless Opportunities
