FREE CONCERT features Legendary country music group, Restless Heart Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy an evening packed with free entertainment on the field behind the office at T.W. Briscoe Park in Snellville on Saturday, May 7, 2011. This will be a wonderful end to the first day of our 38th Annual Snellville Days Festival. For our opening act, we have Stone Mountain’s own,“Amber Mason,” who takes the stage at 6:30 pm. Amber and four other ladies were hand selected by Queen Latifah and COVERGIRL in the “Ignite Your Persona” competition as America’s next generation of female emcees, rappers, and singers.Amber appeared on the BET Awards with Queen Latifah. Spend the rest of your evening with the legendary country music group, “Restless Heart.”. They are celebrating more than 25 years of performing and have had 26 hits on the country charts; 15 of
which were in the top ten, and 6 of those went to number one.Reminisce as they sing their top hits “I’ll Still Be Loving You,” “The Bluest Eyes in Texas,” and “Why Does It Have to Be (Wrong or Right).” Concessions will be available. Barrels will be on the field for shelf stable food donations for “Southeast Gwinnett Cooperative Ministry.” Come spend your evening with us. Having grown and endured challenges through the years, after a brief hiatus, the spark was re-ignited, bringing all 5 original members together again in the new millennium, putting Restless Heart back on the road. Their first real gig as a reunited group was the 2002 Operation Season’s Greetings Tour, an overseas military entertainment tour with the Air Force. They haven’t stopped touring since, averaging more than 100 shows per year, including an aroundthe-world military tour in 2007. Today, driven by the musical force which brought them together over 25 years ago and tempered by experience, Restless Heart continues to thrill old and new fans by doing what they do best– appreciating their audiences and having a good time making great music! gwinnettdailypost.com •
