Executive Summary ▪ Brand Ambassador: Promote and protect brand identification within the design and construction processes across differing site and project requirements by partnering with internal team members in the Store Planning, Visual, and Marketing departments. ▪ Process improvement: Institute keep-it-simple policies and procedures to streamline and increase the efficacy of all team members with the goal of tightening permit time, construction time and costs. ▪ Expert problem solving: Resolve short and long-term difficulties by not applying knee-jerk reactions but rather coming at a situation with a straightforward, practical approach. ▪ Excellent liaison: Break down complex situations into understandable, actionable steps and communicate directly and effectively between technical and non-technical team members. ▪ Strong mentor: Successfully develop Store Planning department and organization where none had previously existed. Develop new skills among team members by involving them in interdepartmental meetings, attending pre-construction and municipal approval meetings, and getting them out to real job sites to broaden their understanding of the actual build environment.


Toys ‘R Us Job Responsibilities ▪ Directed all outside architectural and engineering services for retail, office and distribution center facilities operated by Toys R Us and Babies R Us including due diligence, design development, lease, scope of work reviews and construction document preparation within budget and while upholding and following corporate policies, design standards and procedures. ▪ Managed the internal architectural and construction aspects of new and remodel projects with internal partners in Store Planning, Procurement, Risk Management, Asset Protection, Visual, Operations, etc., to incorporate and coordinate departmental and brand requirements. ▪ Acted as program manager for the on-time/on-budget delivery of all special projects including asset management of owned and leased properties, feasibility studies, geotechnical reporting, governmental approvals, hazardous materials testing, municipal and landlord approvals. ▪ Managed and resolved condemnations, easements, ADA, fire marshal, code compliance, DOT, landlord and tenant issues for all new and existing properties. ▪ Managed outside sign vendors in pursuing and securing the best possible and consistent brand presentation.
