We welcome you to our worship service this morning and pray that you will be blessed in the presence of the Lord Jesus. It is our desire to glorify God as a community of Christ followers who love God, love people, and make disciples because Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. If you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus or have questions about your faith, please feel free to speak with Pastor Jim, Pastor Phil or one of the Elders. Because Jesus doesn't really want a bunch of admirers; He wants committed followers. The question on the table is: Are you really a follower of Jesus or are you just a fan? Care Groups Care groups are an opportunity for you to share life in Christ with a group of 6 to 12 others. Through studying the Bible, serving, and praying together, care group members find the mutual support, practical love, and encouragement to grow. Various Care Groups meet twice monthly. Diaconate Benevolence Offering The Diaconate is collecting a special offering today, and every Communion Sunday. It will be used for giving food or gas gift cards to those with an emergency need. Please put any donations in the Diaconate envelopes found in the pews and place them in the offering plates. Thank you!

Please help out City Mission this month by giving coats, gloves, mittens, hats, scarves, etc for the residents. Donations can be placed in the provided areas in the lobby, The Hall of Missions and the Church Office Entrance.

We are looking for adults and teens to help out in the nursery for the nights of the Christmas Musical. Please sign up on the sheet near the toddler nursery if you are interested.

The Youth Group will be selling popcorn and hot chocolate at a venue close by.

East Glenville Christian Preschool 50th Anniversary Recognition Our Preschool began in 1963 and is preparing to celebrate 50 years of Christian ministry to preschool students. We would like to commemorate this special occasion with a reception following the church worship service. Please save the date for Sunday, March 23rd! The reception will be open to the surrounding community, many of whom have attended preschool here. Please spread the word to anyone who attended or worked at the preschool in the past! EXCEL Excel 2014 is fast approaching. All interested High School students should register with Nate (not YFC) BY NEXT SUNDAY (12/8). The $110 price includes some meals, lodging and transportation as well as the conference. There are registration forms in the church office. Excel is Youth for Christ's annual conference for high school students and their adult leaders. Excel combines praise and worship, prayer, drama, comedy and music with strong biblical teaching to bring you to a life-changing encounter with God. It's held at the Saratoga Springs City Center and the Saratoga Hilton Hotel Friday night through Sunday evening (January 17th - 20th).

NEW MEMBER CLASS The membership class will begin January 5th and run through February 23rd. This class is required to join the church, but it is not mandatory to join when you finish. Everyone from teens through adults are invited to attend. We encourage our leadership team members, or any member, to attend as a refresher since 2 new elements have been added. Please see Pastor Phil or contact the Church Office if you are interested ASAP so that the correct number of materials can be ordered. Praise the Lord!

BAKERS NEEDED We are looking for cookie bakers for the Christmas Musical Reception on Sunday December 15th. You can bake ahead cookies can be brought to kitchen and we will freeze them. Please see Cindi Phillips if you have any questions. Thank you!

Barbara Harkness on behalf of her dentist's secretary, Holly’s husband who is experiencing toxins from the liver, which are causing brain problems. Ann VanWie's friend Helen Collins has been moved to assisted living. Please pray for salvation for Helen and her family. Susan Richter, Margaret Shaver's sister finished chemo and radiation, good prognosis. Please pray for restoration to good health...and hair. Sharon Tallman’s grandmother, Audrey Welnhofer, who has lung cancer. Greg and Susie Bandy - for Priscilla’s job and God’s direction Please pray for Andrea and Pete’s Slover’s son-in-law, Steve and their daughter, Kim, with the passing of Steve’s father, Raymond DiCamillo. Please pray for Lewis Mulone, father of Joe Mulone as he has surgery to remove many cancerous tumors. Jackie and Dan Guillaudeu - Jim Barber (friend’s brother-in-law) who was diagnosed with brain cancer. Emma Miner-Squires – Jacob Miner, 3 yr. old brother of Kaylee and Elizabeth Miner, has been re-hospitalized after complications with epilepsy.
