For the past 26 years, Jim has been married to Lisa, who enjoys using her gifts and talents to support Jim’s ministry, encourage others and serve the Lord through drama and music within the church. Jim and Lisa have one daughter, Megan, who currently lives in Alaska, where her husband is stationed with the US Coast Guard. The Smiths also have a three-year-old grandson. Among Jim's main passions and gifts in ministry are practical, expository preaching and teaching; building and applying Biblical truth for daily life; leadership development; administration and planning; and building community in the church.
