June 8 EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS CAMP IN AT MOSI A hurricane is headed towards the Tampa Bay area and you are setting up a shelter at MOSI! Learn how to prepare for and survive a natural disaster, as you spend the night at a mock hurricane shelter and emergency center. June 24 – 28 HISTORY ADVENTURE CAMP: AMERICAN GIRL Spend your summer with American Girl© characters from three different periods in history – Cecile & Marie-Grace (1853), Kit (1934), and Julie (1974). Campers will learn about each era, along with Tampa’s history. Open to children ages 7-11, History Adventure Camps include hands on experiences including games, crafts, outdoor activities, gallery time and guest speakers. June 15 7TH ANNUAL GELATIN PLUNGE The Gelatin Plunge is your chance to make a difference in the lives of the children and families supported by the Children’s Cancer Center. Started in 2013 by the CCC, the Gelatin Plunge has raised more than $650,000. The Plunge embodies the lively spirit of the CCC and attracts hundreds every summer to plummet down a slide into a pool filled with 2,000 gallons of orange gelatin. www.childrenscancercenter.org June 16 SUMMER MOVIES AT THE BILHEIMER CAPITOL THEATRE The seasonal movie series at the Bilheimer Capitol Theatre begins June 16 with family-friendly Pixar hit The Incredibles.
