What is the NAMI Basics Education Program? NAMI Basics is a free, six-session program designed for parents and other family caregivers of children and adolescents with emo�onal and behavioral difficul�es. NAMI Basics helps parents and other family caregivers of children to understand the illnesses that are causing those behavioral difficul�es, and the cri�cal role families play in the treatment of those illnesses. The program is taught by trained teachers who are also the parents or family caregivers of individuals who experienced emo�onal or behavioral difficul�es prior to age 13.

NAMI Pinellas County FL, Inc. the local organiza�on of the Na�onal Alliance on Mental Illness, will offer its NAMI Basics Educa�on Program for the fall beginning September 12th through October 24th, with a break October 3rd. It will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6-8:30pm at Great Explora�ons Children’s Museum 1925 4th St N, St Petersburg, FL 33704. Limited spaces are available for childcare children ages 5-13 and includes a pizza dinner. Register in advance to secure your spot!
