This taco meatball filled ring was a huge hit in our family. While the kids really enjoyed making it, what they loved was eating it. It looks quite complicated to make, but it was actually quite easy. This is one recipe that we are sure to use again.
Taco Meatball Ring • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese • ¼ cup water • 1 envelope taco seasoning
• 1 pound lean ground beef • 2 8-ounce packages refrigerated crescent rolls
• Desired toppings: shredded lettuce, chopped tomato, shredded cheese, sliced olives, sour cream
1. In a large bowl, combine cheese, water and taco seasoning. Add ground beef and mix well. 2. Shape meat mixture into 16 meatballs and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees for 16 to 18 minutes until cooked through. 3. Arrange crescent rolls on a greased 15-inch pizza pan overlapping the wide ends. Place one meatball on each roll and tuck the point of the crescent roll over the meatball. Bake at 375 degrees for 14 to 16 minutes until rolls are browned. 4. Transfer ring to a serving platter. Arrange toppings in the center of the ring.
