Gubbio Time passes by and seems to have forgotten Gubbio, leaving this charming town possessed of an exceptionally evocative medieval atmosphere. Gattapone, a native son of Gubbio, designed the beautiful Piazza Grande and the 14th century palaces which stand around it - one of the greatest projects of the Middle Ages. The square is also the starting point for an incredible race called the Corsa dei Ceri, which has been run almost every year since medieval times. Assisi Assisi is located upon a long round hill and it is characterized by the warm pink colour of its unique stone, which stands in contrast to the green colour of the Subasio Mount. Assisi is mostly known for Saint Francis who was born there and who was the founder of the Franciscan order to which he gave his name. Before Francis, it had also been an ancient settlement of Umbrian tribes people and later on a Roman town. Transfer to Spello and lunch at a city center restaurant. After lunch, city tour of Spello with a visit to a local oil mill. Afternoon

Spoleto This old Umbrian settlement located upon the Colle Sant'Elia became, in the Roman Age, an important colony along the Via Flaminia, the Roman highway from Rome to Rimini. In the center of the old city, one still finds the old Roman theatre and forum, still focal points of daily life in Spleto.The town is well known all over the world for its spectacular piazza Duomo, one of the seats of the highly prestigious annual festival, Il Festival dei Due Mondi (Festival of the Two Worlds).
