LOCATION Projected for indoor user, at home or in Concept Store. Dimension of area: just the space to wear a light VR or cardboard (no interaction required). Type: 360 vr video. Video concept made for one single user for time.
EXPERIENCE The user is passive, just live the experience of 360 video. The experience is collaborative Sight and hearing are the sense included in the video. In Concept Stores the video experience can be upgraded with fan, water nebulizer and heat light to improve the immersivity.
The main goal is to show to users the process behind Fratelli Carli World, discover the journey of an olive from the Mediterranean fields to the table; a sort of short documentary experience. The concept is to apply the vr technology of “first person experience” not to immedesimate another person but living the video like an olive, since it is picked from the tree until the factory etc…
TWO MACRO CATEGORIES OF CUSTOMER
TA R The main target is divided into two macro categories: people who already buys from Fratelli Carli, so they receive at home the cardboard kit; and people who visit the Concept Store that arenâ€™t necessarily already customers, so the purpose is to convert them.
SETUP PREMISE The video shouldn’t be longer than 1,30 minutes. There are two versions, the base who everyone can live in autonomy, and the “upgraded” that is in the Concept Stores. Most of the shooting are real video that can be take with any 360 videocamera (like Samsung Gear 360 etc). Some shoots need a little post production or visual effect.
The video start with a shot of a olive fields, a classic suggestive mediterranean shot with the sun rising. The point of view of the camera is on a tree, hanging of a branch like an olive. We hear wind (improved with fan in Store and heat light to simulate the sun rising).
After we see a farmer who catches the olives near the view. After a while we are collected and put with other olives in a classic wicker basket.
The scenes follow each other until we are loaded onto the caisson of an ape car. We use these shots to show the the location and origin of olives of Carli.
With the passage of the ape car under a tunnel we can use the dark moment to change the caisson of ape to a big truck (wind fan in real life improve the experience). When we arrive to te factory we were downloaded and we run on tapis roulant seeing the interior of the factory with all of pipes and machinery.
Next shoots are a sequence of process into the machinery that refinery the olive to oil. For example one of the first is the pressing, during this process the camera approaches the press and when we were crushed we became oil. (need visual post production with oil squeeze on screen, if we are in Store we feel the water spray with nebulizers.)
After we proceed with other process like washing, distillery etcâ€Ś Until we are bottled (we see the world through the green glass of the oil bottle) So we are placed in the wooden box with the other bottles of oil. Video end when the wooden box is opened and from inside the box we see a person like us using a cardboard vr.
TECH AND CONTENT ASPECTS
MAIN D The project is designed for customer who received the oil box and the cardboard kit or possible future customers who try the experience in Concept Store with the “upgraded version”. The vantage is the portability of the project that doesn’t need advanced vr, cables or controller. Video 360 filmed by 360 camera, edit with montage program and visual effect addons.
CARDBOARD KIT The “customer kit” is send in combo with oil box or another box buy from Carli, just need to setup the cardboard and scan qr with smartphone. The 360 video can easily be a youtube 360 upload.
23 Need a troupe team with experience in 360 video (around 3/4 people) itâ€™s better if they can also process post production. We need a visual effect to work on post production. Tech specialist to improve the experience in Store with heat lamp, vaporizer and fan. During the shooting we need a morning to stop the production of oil and make the scenes (after they need to clean the production line). Also need a place for the outdoor scenes and the transport sequence.
