In this update, we look at how the Bedell Group has seen its Little Green Fingers schools project blossom. In a corner of Beechwood School’s playground in St Peter Port, a unique garden is nearing completion. It’s the vision of 10-year-old pupil Nairn Guilbert, winner of the Funky Monkey magazine and Bedell Group Little Green Fingers garden design competition.

On behalf of GF, Marcus Leese (Ogier) gave a case study presentation on establishing a successful offshore investment fund. This half-day conference was not as well attended as expected but still proved useful in continuing to raise awareness of the Guernsey service offering and the practicalities of establishing a fund offshore.

Marcus Leese (Ogier) and Yumei Zhang (Louvre) attended this event on behalf of GF. Competitors such as Cayman / BVI but also Labuan, Mauritius, Malta and the Cook Islands (and more) were also present highlighting their strengths. DTA networks (direct with China or third countries) were a major talking point.


18-23 October, Delhi and Mumbai This visit is resurrecting the itinerary put together for the April delegation which was cancelled due to the situation involving the volcanic ash. Deputy Carla McNulty Bauer, Minister of the Commerce and Employment Department, will lead the team.
