Jasmine U.P. Castro

Felipe Simbahan I took the Core Curriculum, Heating Ventilation and AC Levels 1-4 courses. I really enjoyed the HVAC program with GCA Trades. I learned the fundamentals to better troubleshoot and repair. The instructor and the program also enhanced my skills to understand HVAC theory. It has helped me in enhancing my ability to troubleshoot and repair various HVAC systems. The instructors at GCA Trades Academy are very professional, understanding and helpful through each module. There should be more companies here on island that should send their employees to the Trades Academy. They will gain more than just the knowledge and experience. They will gain friendships and higher statuses.

John Borja I took the field Safety, Safety Technology and Project Management courses at the GCA Trades Academy. The safety courses helped me a lot and I’ve learned a lot about the safety aspects of industrial construction from basic tools to mechanized equipment. The courses have helped me become a better safety officer at Watts Construction. The instructors were knowledgeable and made things interesting in class. It was a great experience.

I took Field Safety and Safety Technology. Upon completion of the safety program with GCA Trades Academy, I was able to obtain a Field Safety certificate, Safety Technology certificate, Construction Site Safety Supervisor certificate and Construction Site Safety Technician certificate. I loved the classes. I would retake it just because it was very detailed, enjoyable and educational. Mr. McCaffe and Mr. Leasiolagi were very knowledgeable in their area. The classes I completed have helped me obtain a job with Nippo. The books provided to me from GCA Trades for the Safety classes were like my daily bible at work. The books are useful and user friendly. Mr. McCaffe and Mr. Leasiolagi were very knowledgeable in their area. I most definitely would recommend the Trades Academy to others interested in construction. GCA Trades Academy has much to offer with great opportunities from start to end!

Money Saving Features Individual Zone Control Halcyon systems can have multiple indoor air handlers (covering multiple zones or areas) connected to one outdoor unit. Since each of the zones will have units own thermostat, you only heat or cool the areas you want and not the areas are unoccupied. Ductless Design Why pay to heat or cool ductwork? Since mini splits have a little-to-no ducting, they forego those energy loses typically associated with central forced-air systems. Inverter Technology Inverter Technology allows the outdoor unit to vary its speed and output to match the required capacity of the indoor unit, therefore achieving 30% more operating efficiency than conventional models making it much less expensive to run. High Efficiency Ratings SEER and HSPF ratings measure how efficiently a cooling or heating system will operate over an entire season. Fujitsu features the highest, most efficient ratings in North America.

These Halycon systems know how to save you money even when you forget. If you leave the room without turning the unit off, ESP knows that you left and 20 minutes later, set temperature is increased by 4ºF. When you come back to the room, it returns to Only on 9,000 + 12,000 previous operating mode. BTU Models This prevents wasteful operation to save energy without having to think about it.

Federal law requires that a yellow Energy Guide label showing the SEER rating be attached to the condenser unit. Ask for the Energy Guide label in order to verify SEER rating of the unit.

Eric Mandell I took the Safety Technology and Field Safety courses. I work at Black Construction Body Shop and because of the training, I was promoted to side safety health officer trainee. I was able to go from working at the body shop and am now on my way to becoming a safety officer. Trades instructor Chris Patino was very knowledgeable, thorough and interesting. I would recommend any of the classes at trades to anyone who wants to further their credentials and training.

Money Saving Features

Federal law requires that a yellow Energy Guide label showing the SEER rating be attached to the condenser unit. Ask for the Energy Guide label in order to verify SEER rating of the unit.
