AT OCEAN E R G E H T ED STAY ON IGHLIGHT FOR D N E T X E AN ROVIDE A H ALKED ABOUT P D L U O C ROAD THAT IS T E C N E R E F YOUR CON O COME. T S R A E Y FOR Here are a few of the pre and post touring options that led Conde Nast Traveller Magazine to rank the Great Ocean Road as one of the world’s best coastal drives.

WALKS AND WATERFALLS

SURF COAST WALK

There are many excellent walks easily accessible by car behind Lorne and Apollo Bay in the Great Otway National Park featuring powerful waterfalls in temperate, fern lined forest.

Offering natural beauty and easy access, the 44 km Surf Coast Walk lets you enjoy a series of connected walks at your own pace between Torquay, Anglesea and Aireys Inlet.

GREAT OCEAN ROAD

The Lorne Visitor Centre has maps of all the self guided walks and a waterfall self drive touring route.

Officially opened in 1932, the Great Ocean Road remains one of the most spectacular tourist drives in the world and was hand built by returned First World War soldiers and sailors in honour of their fallen mates.

THE TWELVE APOSTLES

A Memorial Arch and Diggers Statue at Eastern View before Lorne and the newly opened Great Ocean Road Story exhibition at the Lorne Visitor Centre provide a background to the Road becoming the world’s biggest war memorial.

GREAT OCEAN WALK The Great Ocean Walk hugs the spectacular coastline from Apollo Bay to the Twelve Apostles. Engage your mind, body and soul as you weave your way through the Great Otway, and Port Campbell, National Parks. Each walk day is different and unique with nature’s drama unfolding at every step. Choose from a collection of breathtaking walks, traversing windswept cliffs, wetlands, rivers and rugged secluded, wild beaches.

World recognised icons the Twelve Apostles are set amongst the Port Campbell National Park near Port Campbell.

BELLS BEACH World famous Bells Beach, located just 4 km from Torquay, is Australia’s most famous surfing beach and is home to the world’s longest running surfing event, the Rip Curl Pro Easter Classic.

These giant rock stacks soar from the surging waters of the Southern Ocean and look fantastic at sunrise, sunset or even from the air in a helicopter.

DINING DESTINATIONS & FOOD TRAILS The region is renowned for award-winning cool climate wines and high quality locally sourced food. A trip to places like Age Good Food Guide Restaurant of the Year Brae, Tarndwarncoort Homestead, the Otway Harvest Trail or Forrest Brewery can make a trip inland really worth your while.

You can stay on-track at hike-in campsites or opt for comfort and luxury stays nearby. GREAT OCEAN ROAD Conference Destination Guide

ADVENTURE FOR LIFE

ANGLESEA GOLF CLUB

AUSTRALIAN SKYDIVE

Adventure for Life creates bespoke team building programs and adventure activities that showcase the magnificent Great Ocean Road region. Each event is designed to achieve your corporate objectives, suit your group’s demographics, and match your budget.

The Anglesea Golf Club is situated just off the Great Ocean Road and with the completion of the Geelong Ring Road Anglesea is now only a little over an hour’s drive from the top of the Westgate Bridge.

Located 5-10 minutes from Torquay at the start of the Great Ocean Road, we offer an adrenalin fuelled experience like no other with unbelievable views of the Torquay coastline. Do a tandem skydive from 14,000 feet, freefalling at 220km/h for about 30 seconds then floating under canopy for about 4 1/2 minutes before landing safely back at the dropzone.

Team building programs: Include search and rescue scenarios, golf cart relays, corporate orienteering, muddy obstacle courses, “Resilience: prepare your team for change”, and high tech adventure racing. Adventure activities: Include surf lessons, mountain and road biking, kayaking, hiking, horse riding, wine tours, golf days or general site-seeing. For larger conferences, delegates can choose from an activities menu online. Adventure for Life looks after the rest, providing guest lists, transport, activities, guides and all the little things to make guests comfortable. Incentive programs: Show your top performers they are appreciated with an amazing journey down the Great Ocean Road, helicopter flights over the Twelve Apostles, unique dining experiences, and spa treatments. Our motto is “Life is not a spectator sport”.

Our clubhouse can cater for conferences ranging from 10 to 80 guests in a private room overlooking the 18th hole. Our staff can set the room up for most configurations be it classroom, theatre style or board room. Refreshments supplied by in-house caterers Todayicook can cater for any request from breakfast meetings to morning and afternoon teas, lunches or dinners. Why not tailor a package and include a game of golf or a golf clinic as a great team building exercise for your group? Also there is the ever present resident population of Eastern Grey Kangaroos which number approximately 300 and can be seen from the clubhouse late in the afternoon. Golf bookings Pro Shop: 03 5263 1951 bookings@angleseagolfclub.com.au Function bookings Bistro: 03 5263 3434 bistro@angleseagolfclub.com.au

Our dropzone also offers a viewing area for any spectators that wish to come and watch. The spectators can see the skydivers as they jump from the plane and if it’s a quiet day you can hear them scream. We also normally land in front of the viewing area so the spectators can capture the skydivers on camera as they land. We offer discounts for group bookings and also have corporate rates for company bookings. We also offer a USB of the skydive to show family and/or friends. The USB contains a movie of the tandem skydive and digital stills captured from the movie. All of our staff are friendly and professional, helping jumpers to feel relaxed and enjoy their experience with us. Our safety record is impeccable, as we follow all regulations from the Australian Parachute Federation. Our site is also teamed with Tigermoth Adventure World for those people who don’t wish to jump out of the plane. They also offer an adventure park for kids. Our office is open 7 days a week from 9am-5pm for any enquiries or bookings. Come join us for a 100% pure adrenalin experience.

APOLLO BAY SURF & KAYAK / WALK 91

BARWON PARK MANSION

BIG STICK ADVENTURES

We operate in the beautiful environment of Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road. On our doorstep we have the Great Otway National Park and the Marengo Marine Sanctuary, which hosts a seal colony.

Barwon Park, built in 1871, is a majestic 42 room bluestone mansion, including its own stables, set in a sweeping rural landscape.

Big Stick Adventures specialises in unique experiences, team programs and events.

Our surf school runs on the magnificent foreshore of Apollo Bay and lessons include instruction, full length wetsuits and specially designed safe soft boards. Hundreds of visitors to Apollo Bay learn to surf with us every year.

This magnificent venue hosts a number of stunning areas which can be used for a range of functions. The spacious courtyard is ideal for corporate functions, whilst the Dining Room provides a magnificent space for cocktail parties or dinners.

Our 5-star packages redefine corporate entertainment expectations.

Sea Kayaking to the Marengo Seal Sanctuary is one of our most popular activities. We use ‘sit-on-top’ kayaks (cabos) which are great for both beginners and experienced paddlers. It is rare not to see the seals and their pups lounging on the rocks, or even swimming and playing around the kayaks. For the adventurous we also offer the opportunity to catch waves and surf to the shore!

The grounds and gardens also provide ample opportunities for outdoor functions and events.

Our company offers organised programs for schools, youth groups, corporate groups, tertiary institutions and holiday makers.

We love what we do.

All prices are inclusive of GST and are subject to a 20% surcharge on public holidays. For more information please contact us on 03 9656 9815 or email functions@nattrust.com.au

It is at the core of everything we do and a foundation of our success. This simple process yields impressive results. Innovation is woven into every product we deliver. Every company is unique and important. Our approach helps tailor that uniqueness into something special just for you. Our products help improve performance, unite teams, reward results and promote growth. High performance teams and the celebration of success are critical factors in a company’s strategy. Our consultative approach discusses your company’s ambitions and how we can work together to achieve them.

Activities include surfing, sit-on-top kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, raft building, snorkeling, reef teach programs and bush educational programs. We can offer you and your group one hour private surf lessons to multi-day activity programs, specifically tailored to your requirements. We are flexible and happy to consider any requests.

We are driven by a vision to produce the best experiences in the world.

GO RIDE A WAVE

GREAT OCEAN ROAD ADVENTURE TOURS (GORATS)

GREAT OCEAN ROAD CHOCOLATERIE & ICE CREAMERY

If you’re looking for a conference activity that is a little different, yet loads of fun for everyone, then our surf lesson is the way to go. Whilst having fun together, surfing provides for a unique shared experience that will bond your team for years to come. The experience of catching your first wave will be one that is remembered for a lifetime.

Welcome to Great Ocean Road Adventure Tours (GORATS). Let us take you for a ride. Or a paddle. Or both.

Come visit us at the stunning new Chocolaterie on the Great Ocean Road. Delight in free chocolate and ice cream tastings. Watch the art of chocolate making – from hand crafting to hand packing – and say hello to our European Chocolatiers. Explore our spectacular showroom choc-filled with thousands of chocolates to tempt you.

We use beginner soft foam G-Board surfboards. They’re safe, stable and very easy to learn on. Combine that with full length wetsuits to keep you warm, you will be catching your first wave in no time. A common misconception is that a high level of fitness is needed. In fact you learn to surf quicker if you stay in shallow water and catch the broken waves. All our instructors are highly qualified and current surf lifesavers. Our staff make you feel comfortable and will assist you to learn quickly. Most people stand in their first lesson. Our goal is to give our clients a fun, safe experience.

Lots of fun, challenge and reward. We like to create personalised tours that you want to do, so you can have a fun-filled day. Whether it is an easy paddle down a lovely river, or a mountain bike tour through the bush - our top instructors will be there to keep you safe and excited. Or maybe you want or need some serious hard-edged adrenaline pumped adventure full of action and yes, pain! Whatever it is Great Ocean Road Adventure Tours can provide and always with a smile. Great Ocean Road Adventure Tours can accommodate for small groups of less than 10 people or even a full school year level of 200 and above. Tours can even be spread over several days. Every job Great Ocean Road Adventure Tours does is about the experience. It is Great Ocean Road Adventure Tours responsibility to ensure it is the best! Give us a call to discuss your next adventure.
