24 brand, 24 shows in 6 days, together with musical performances, special guests and exclusive interviews. Ground Control was assigned management of the backstage area and all front of stage activities. The stage set was designed by Michele De Lucchi for the unique setting of the Gallery Vittorio Emanuele II during Milanâ€™s fashion week.

Banca Intesa Sanpaolo is the main sponsor of the major exhibition celebrating the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, held at the Officine Grandi Riparazioni in Turin. Ground Control developed and realized an installation that allows users to consult the Group’s historical archive and to place a value, (like a memory, an image or a statement) in the Time Capsule to be conserved and reopened in 150 years.

Ground Control has developed and rolled out the overall project creativity. Ground Control has managed and looked after the guest artist as overviewed the charity auction hosted by the italian actor Sergio Rubini: a Nespresso Citiz Coffee Machine designed by artist Lorenzo Petrantoni.

Man and woman become two different worlds within the Diesel universe. Ground Control is into the engine of this revolution, conceiving two fashion shows which have enhanced the two different creative concepts and the rebirth of Diesel Woman.

The stand most eagerly looked forward to in the entire show. Ground Control oversaw the entire creative process, together with the Dutch company Wink, also autonomously developing some creative content such as the table with RFID technology enabling automatic product recognition and explanation, some video production and curating the selection and the participation of the singer.

Brave Natives On Tour is the name of the first leg (preview) of the tour leading up to the main collection launch in December. Ground Control develops and realizes the concept, organizing the main shows, speeches and various product presentations. The event has been well remembered thanks to the impressive presence of a coach bus on the catwalk, symbol of travel, music and contact with people.

Ground Control was responsible for the internal presentation of the Diesel autumn-winter 2011 collection at the headquarters in Breganze, with a set that had all the impact and lighting of a major concert, further developing the concept begun with Brave Natives On Tour. Amongst other things Ground Control was responsible for managing the speeches, the numerous product presentations and the final party.

Revolution and rebellion down to the wire: in one word, WIREVOLT. This is the creative theme of the Diesel 2009 main collection, for which Ground Control turned the catwalk into a spiderâ€™s web, a maze of colours and energy from which the models must escape.
TNT - FESTIVAL DEI GIOVANI TALENTI TITLE : General Project + Contents Direction CLIENT: Ministro della Giovent첫 + Agenzia Nazionale Giovani WHEN: November 17/21st, 2010 WHERE: EUR-Roma, Italy Ground Control was involved in the overall design and direction of content. The objective of the show was to promote and showcase Italian talent, involving more than 200 young people in workshops, seminars and meetings with the world of business, universities, institutions and leading foundations. The project lives on, on the web (www.festivaltnt.it), still putting young people in contact with the world of work.
TELECOM @ FESTIVAL DELLA SCIENZA GENOVA TITLE : Creative Direction CLIENT: Telecom Italia WHEN: October, 2009 WHERE: Genova, Italy An exhibition designed to show the public visiting the Festival of Science the discoveries and studies made by Telecom Lab. The future is on stage, under Renzo Pianoâ€™s famous Bigo: the frontiers of home automation, of telemedicine, the future of television, the potential of the photograph and of music, the embryo of Ground Control... It has already all changed.
RED CROSS+RED CRESCENT 150th ANNIVERSARY TITLE : Creative Direction CLIENT: International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies WHEN: June 23rd/28th, 2009 WHERE: Solferino, Italy
Representatives from 113 countries met at Solferino to commemorate one of the most important transnational institutions and winner of the Nobel peace prize. Ground Control was there with them.

SLOVENIA ENTRANCE INTO THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITY TITLE : Creative and Show Direction CLIENT: Comune di Gorizia, Comune di Nova Goriça WHEN: April 30th, 2004 WHERE: Piazza Transalpina Gorizia, Italy - Nova Goriça, Slovenia The event in Piazza della Transalpina on the border (“Wall of Gorizia”) between Slovenia and Italy took place some years ago but still has a strong symbolic value. Yugoslavia, Tito, the war for independence, the Foibe killings, the politic-ideological division between the West and East Europe during the Cold War period: so many reasons made this event moving and significant. Guests included Romano Prodi (at that time President of UE) and Goran Bregovic.
FERRETTI YACHTS 40th ANNIVERSARY TITLE : Artistic Consultant CLIENT: Ferretti Yacht WHEN: July 10th, 2008 WHERE: Milano, Italy
The most famous theatre in the world, the Scala in Milan, was the venue for a concert celebrating 40 years of the Italian producer of prestigious yachts. The theme was, naturally, the sea, with a programme drawn up by Ground Control collaborating with the Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel. The program included several Mahler Lieders, the Sinfonia n.1, and The Moldava by Smetana.
ARTEMPO PALAZZO FORTUNY TITLE : Creative Consultant CLIENT: Axel Vervoordt WHEN: November 17/21st, 2010 WHERE: Venezia, Italy A benefit event to coincide with the Artempo exhibition at Palazzo Fortuny. 3 exclusive locations with 500 guests from all over the world. Palazzo Ducale, the Magazzini del Sale and the Pescherie were the prestigious places used to raise funds for restoration of Palazzo Fortuny. Robert Carsen, famous Canadian director of theatre and opera, choreographed a historic-themed dinner in the courtyard of Palazzo Ducale.
DIESEL OPENING + RENZO ROSSO BIRTHDAY TITLE : Creative and Show Direction CLIENT: Diesel Spa WHEN: Septemper 16th, 2010 WHERE: Breganze (VI), Italy Space Age mood and star guests at the opening of the new futuristic and eco-friendly Diesel headquarters in Breganze. The inauguration coincided with the birthday of company founder Renzo Rosso. Colours and sounds inspired by Close Encounters, and a triple bill concert with Jovanotti, Pharrell Williams and Wyclef. An unforgettable party, conceived and directed by Ground Control.
INTIMISSIMI CELEBRATE 10 YEARS TITLE : Creative and Show Direction CLIENT: Intimissimi WHEN: November 30th, 2006 WHERE: Milano, Italy
10 secrets of light that have veiled and unveiled the 10 years of Intimissimi. Ground Control designed a circuit around giant size numbers, from 1 to 9, featuring creative internal lighting, to celebrate the 10th anniversary through the light of cinema. The show included an original short film by Sergio Castellito.
FERRETTI PRIVILEGE DAYS 2008 TITLE : Creative and Show Direction CLIENT: Ferretti Yachts WHEN: April 19th, 2008 WHERE: San Giovanni in Marignano, Cattolica, Italy
The exclusive event for top Ferretti clients inspired by Truman Capoteâ€™s Black&White Party. It was held at Ferretti Riviera Horse. Ground Control was responsible for creative content, down to the last detail, directing, amongst others, an alluring fashion show for La Perla/ Bulgari with models on horseback.
CAMPARI CALENDARIO 2007 TITLE : Creative and Show Direction CLIENT: Campari WHEN: November 7th, 2007 WHERE: Milano, Italy At Superstudio Pi첫 12 fairytales come to life through the seductive filter of the world of Campari. Ground Control conceived and directed the event launching the Campari calendar, featuring photos of Eva Mendes by Marino Perissinotto. A door of flowing Campari red opens onto 12 houses, the homes of a sensuous Snow White, a mischievous Alice, a provocative Tom Thumb...
DISCOVERY REAL TIME THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH TITLE : Creative and Show Direction CLIENT: Discovery Channel WHEN: September 27th, 2005 WHERE: Milano, Italy Inspired by the famous Nicoâ€™s song, All Tomorrow Parties. Best media event at BEA 2006, the event that was the talk of the town in the sector it was conceived and designed for. Seven separate parties, divided by partitions which when lifted at the end, created one enormous space, one giant party. Ground Control was responsible for the original idea, direction of the set and the dynamics of the event.

Ground Control conceived and directed the events inaugurating the restyling of the Coin new media building in Piazza V Giornate, Milan. The grand finale party featured music played by special guests Asia Argento and Karim Rashid as DJs.
MSC FANTASIA CHRISTENING TITLE : Creative and Show Direction CLIENT: MSC Crociere WHEN: December 18th, 2008 WHERE: Napoli, Italy
Fantasia, Sophia Loren, MSC Cruises. Three names with a common denominator: Naples. The city was the venue for the spectacular launch ceremony for MSC Fantasia, flagship of the MSC Italian fleet: artists on stage included Aeros, Pino Daniele, Lucio Dalla and Renzo Arbore.
MSC ORCHESTRA CHRISTENING TITLE : Creative and Show Direction CLIENT: MSC Crociere WHEN: May 14th, 2007 WHERE: Civitavecchia (Roma), Italy
In the harbour built by Michelangelo the MSC Orchestra was christened, an event that saw two Italian Oscar winners together on stage: Sophia Loren and Ennio Morricone. Morricone conducted the Sinfonietta orchestra, playing a selection of classics from his vast repertoire, from “Giù la testa!” to “Mission”.
FIAT 500 THE RE-LAUNCH TITLE : Creative Contents Development CLIENT: FIAT WHEN: Jult 7th, 2007 WHERE: Torino, Italy
An event that will remain in the memory of many Italians, for a product that has become part of Italian history: the Fiat 500. Ground Control was responsible for the dynamics of the entire show and developed some contents, beginning with the image encapsulating the event (the unique icona), the car 500 made of people.

A huge collective kiss was photographed from above by the Italian artist Massimo Vitali in Piazza San Marco, Venice. Ground Control was responsible for the concept and direction of the new yearâ€™s eve party in the city of cinema and romance, artistic direction was by Marco Balich.
SENSATION SHOW @ CARNEVALE DI VENEZIA 2008 TITLE : Creative and Show Direction CLIENT: Comune e Casinò di Venezia WHEN: January, 2009 WHERE: Venezia, Italy The most famous carnival in the world in the most beautiful town in the world. Ground Control managed creative content and direction of the grand finale in Piazza San Marco, after collaboration with Marco Balich - artistic director and originator of the concept “Sensation: 6 senses for 6 districts” - in the development of the various events throughout the different districts.
ORASCOM 50 MILLION CONTACTS TITLE : Creative Direction CLIENT: Orascom Telecom WHEN: December 10th, 2006 WHERE: Giza, Egypt
An impressive light show on the site of one of the 7 wonders of the world: the Great Pyramids. Mysticism, ufology and history blended into one before the eyes of the entranced spectators. Never had Ground Control been so close to one of the worldâ€™s greatest mysteries, but the secret of the pyramids remains.
OPENING CEREMONY DUBAI WORLD CUP 2009 TITLE : Creative and Show Direction CLIENT: Dubai Racing Club WHEN: March 28th, 2009 WHERE: Dubai, UAE 9000 luminous spheres, a cloud of luminous spheres 35 m wide and 70 m high, choreographies for performers, horses and flag-weavers: all the elements of an imposing spectacle for 30,000 horse lovers, the last held at Nad al Sheba racecourse in Dubai, before the Dubai World Cup, the richest race in the world, moved to the phantasmagorical track and grandstand at Meydan.
ENDURANCE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2005 TITLE : Creative and Show Direction CLIENT: Dubai Racing Club WHEN: January 26/28th, 2005 WHERE: Dubai, UAE
Ground Control devised creative content and directed the opening and closing ceremonies of the most prestigious race in the world for Arab horses, in the desert around Dubai. The event was on an Olympic scale: 42 participating countries, choreography for 50 horses, a logo of flames 24m wide and 8m high, 40 performers, 130 extras...
KAUST INAUGURATION PROJECT TITLE : Creative Co-Direction CLIENT: Aramco WHEN: September 23rd, 2009 WHERE: Jeddah. Saudi Arabia
A complex development process preceded the inauguration of the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, the top class university the Saudi King wanted so much to establish, with the organizational support of the worldâ€™s major oil companies. Ground Control was responsible for originating the title/concept and for development through to the final presentation.
THE BEACON OF KNOWLEDGE This was the creative concept behind the development of design for this important event, subdivided into 3 climactic moments: 1. The entrance way, which gives visitors a complete view of the various parts of the university, how it is laid out and how it is inspired by and develops the â€œhouse of wisdomâ€? in Baghdad. 2. The main hall, which seats the 5,000 invited to the inauguration, the speeches by the most important representatives, and appearance by the King. A screen of over 70 metres was used for video projections. 3. The inauguration and lighting of the beacon, positioned to be viewed from the frame tent. The lighting of the beacon was accompanied by a spectacular lightshow, water fountains and fireworks.

Corporate video. The film was made for use in airports, tourist offices and show rooms. There is a short version of 15’’ and of 30’’ for the BBC. It tells the story of the project for construction of an artificial island off Doha in Qatar. The film involved a combination of graphic rendering and video footage. Ground Control was entirely responsible for the entire film, from script to shooting and editing.

Corporate video. This is the second part of the film on the artificial island in Qatar, continuing the story of project development and the real construction of what had only previously been computer graphics. The film was shot in Qatar, Malaga (Spain) and in Venice, with post-production work on 3D carried out in the U.S., Singapore and Germany.

After graduating in philosophy from the State University of Milan, he worked for two years at the university, teaching and writing about cinema, art, and phenomenolo gy. He worked as playwright and assistant director to internationally renowned directors in theatre, ballet, opera and cinema productions. Pursuing his interest in the communications sector, he began to work as copywriter for major national and international campaigns. He directed videos and commercials, before becoming a creative director and show director for major national and international productions.
After graduating in Business Administration from Università Luigi Bocconi in Milan, he worked over the last decade for corporations as well as marketing agencies. To mention a few: Category Manager for Apparel, Homeware and Automotive at Warner Bros. Consumer Products. Project Manager at DPR Eventi working with brands such as Citroen, Bisazza, Heineken, Telecom, Costa Crociere, Mondadori among others. Global Head of Events at Diesel HQ: Project owner of all Diesel and Diesel Black Gold International Events such as Fashion Shows, Product Presentations, Trade Shows, Parties, Celebrations as well as Edge Marketing Projects as Diesel:U:Music, Diesel Wall, Diesel New Voices. He is also the founder of Studio, a cultural lifestyle magazine.
Creative and show director of K Events Milano and Dubai for 6 years (Filmmaster Group), he was also editor of N.O.T (News on Trends) an on-line magazine on new world trends and continues to teach communication and show direction at IED, IULM, Università Cattolica di Milano, and Università Bocconi.
