National President’s Challenge PROSTATE CANCER UK , and to raise awareness of the illness among 41ers I intend to take part in the MOVEMBER campaign by growing a moustache. I’ve never had one and shudder to think what I’ll look like but some things have to be done! I’m hoping that several members may join my “team” and do likewise. To donate or join the Team please visit http://uk.movember.com/team/480117 and follow the links. A pound from every 41er would generate over £17,500; £10 would raise wine: one for the member who raises most funds for the Team; and one for the Team member who grows the best moustache – just submit online (to email@example.com ) two dated photos of your face – one dated 31 October 2012, the other 30 November 2012. Usual rules apply!! Looking forward to seeing your name on the MOVEMBER web page! David Smith National President

Remembrance Sunday Once again 41 Club will be conducting an Act of Remembrance at the 41 Club Garden in the National Memorial Arboretum, in Alweras, Staffordshire on Sunday 11 th November. Each of the Round Table Family Immediate Past Presidents will be participating in the service and laying wreaths on behalf of their Associations. Lichfield 41 Club will be hosting a very small ‘gathering’ for lunch afterwards – which if last year is anything to go by – will be an excellent event for fellowship, good food and wine. However spaces for this lunch are very limited. The venue is very small. 41 Club would love to see as many members and their families at the Arboretum (the NMA service starts at 10:30 – followed by ours at the garden at 11:10) as possible. If you haven’t been before the NMA is an amazing place and well worth a visit. If you want to come to the lunch – please contact MAC CUMMINGS who describes himself as President, Director of Communications, Sommelier in Chief and General Factotum (I have heard many other descriptions(!) –in fact really he actually wears a ‘pinny’ and does the washing up!) His email is firstname.lastname@example.org We look forward to seeing you at the Arboretum!
41 Club International I am delighted to represent our association as your International Officer. My challenge this year is to make effective use of my committee in the following areas. Firstly , we will be developing a colourful new style "International Calendar" which will be kept updated to give you the latest information on 41 Club events overseas. Second , we are also working towards an " Overseas Club Finder " which, with a few clicks of a mouse, should enable you to locate any 41 Club outside the UK. Thirdly we will be helping individuals, Clubs and Regions to encourage Twinning at all levels. Please avail yourselves of our services, I can be contacted at email@example.com Dave Campbell International Officer
