was breathless in front of the landscape
and the quality of the plotâ€™s ground. The idea was to implant the project respecting these specific caracteristics.
The second intention was to offer to the units a good quality of living, through natural solar light, great views and a close relationship with the existing trees, trying to reach the canopy. So as to obtain these qualities, the building sets up on stilts on the very edge of the protected pine trees. The project is composed of two parts : the first one counts six volumes separated by the outdoor vertical circulations. The second one is made of four townhouses linked to the first part by suspended walkways.
From the street, you enter the project beetween two equipments and you are welcomed by a paved square. Its paving progresses and guides the inhabitant towards the vertical circulations. The elevation of the main volume allows the parc to continue under the units with a green composition. Then the inhabitant enters underneath the building, just as in a tree house. The units go from T2 to T5 and are bidirectional. The bedrooms are oriented to the North and the living areas, to the South, with a generous terrace, except for the highest units where the living areas are facing both North and South. The buildingâ€™s structure is made of steel, creating a lighter building, that is also thermically and acoustically perfomant. Moreover all the elements can be prefabricated, so it is a building that is rather fast to build and is also economic.

PORT MARIANNEâ€™S DISTRICT DIAGRAM
On the picture on the right, a diagram of Parc Marianne district’s composition. It’s made of two main axis, one is a road, the other is composed of several public facilities. The plot is instresting because of its location and function : an articulation between roads, streets and a large greenspace. The facades answer to their environment. The West elevation on the street gives a progresive reading of the building, playing with the car movements in the street. First, we only see a monolithic volume. Then, in front of the building, we
perceive its different opacities and its game with depth. The sport’s rooms appear through the envelope, and the users behind are like shadows whereas the circulations are almost transparent.
On the park, frames come through the cover, and offer generous views on the green space. Their shapes take the same vocabulary as the pathway on the street.

of a residential district’s composition for eight houses next to a river.

public space creates a pathway beetween the trees on the
river’s side. The natural drop is restructured by terraces with
20cm height. The car circulation takes place along the back wall and is punctuated by parking areas tha lead to the dwellings.
The house is built for a sound ingenior, his wife and their 3 childrens. The volume uses the same concept as the public space, with three different levels. It is composed of three « clamps » in concrete which intertwine together. This composition enables a free plan where the different functions are separated by these different levels. The three clamps generate a central patio which articulates the living spaces.
The intimacy of the garden is preserved thanks to larch wood cladding with 10 cm gap in between each, so as to see without being seen.

URBAN PROJECT ANALYSIS AND URBAN DESIGN - SOUTH-EAST OF PERPIGNAN SEMESTRE 7
Our study area is located in the South-East of Perpignan, in a land classified « to be urbanized » according to the PLU of the city (« local plan of urbanism »). First of all, the site is defined by two city entrances, on the west side by the Paul Alduy avenue, and on the east side by the Elne’s road. On the north side of the site, a distrcit with a strong architectural and social identity, called « le moulin à vent », ending in a residential area. In the south side, the site is bounded by a railroad and a commercial area and behind, by the south beltway of Perpignan city. Given the unbalance between the Paul Alduy avenue, serving many facilities, and the functional Elne’s driving road ; the main idea was to revitalise the area with a structural axis linking the two roads (see the reference plan).
This axis begins with a train stop and ends with a multimodal hub. A bus line makes the transition between the two, and so, feeds the whole project’s activity. The structural axis connects other active hubs which articulate the new project to the actual city fabric. The establishment of markets and a community center in the North, interacts with the Moulin à Vent’s district, pavilions, and the new project. Whereas in the South, a public space, composed of an old vinaceous center, a restaurant, a creche, and a nursing home, thus creating a dynamic hub. According to the very rural landscape of the city, the project integrates also agricultural land, vine, farm hangars so as to enable short food circuits.

The urban design takes in consideration the natural slope of the plot. In some parts, we use the same grid as the actual district. This strategy enables a fluid progression from the new buildings to the old ones. On the vine, we used townhouse typologies. We composed with an alignement of open blocks all along the main axis of the project. On the commercial area, office buildings are used as a buffer space. They make the transition with the housing behind. Along the railroad, the farm hangars prevent the housing from the train noises. Everything has been thought with a specific focus on the green and blue grids, using those elements as soft mobility pathways.

URBAN CABLE-CAR VOLUME AND FACADE - JERUSALEM
« Territoire, Villes et Transports » (Territory, City and Transport) of the Safege group, from Lyon, in France, is an office working with engineers and architects on the development and the establishment of infrastructures for the urban mobility. Their job is to analyse the socio-economic context, as well as

My work here was to develop architectural answers for 2 stations : the first one, A4 and the last one called F. The aim here was to create an innovative building by taking the heritage of the city into account. As an answer, I choose to work on a particular volumetry and to use the local stone for the envelope.

The project of urban cable-car was asked by the town structures of Jerusalem. Because of its religious context, this town has always welcomed lots of tourists and now counts more than 500 buses each day serving the monuments. This creates many issues, such as traffic jams in the narrow streets of the city center, pollution, sprawling parking lots near the worship’s places. So, the urban cable car seems to be a good solution. This mode of transportation can cross infrastructures, rivers and even hills. The famous mountain of olive trees is accessible in 10 minutes. According to the studies, the urban car can transport up to 4000 pers/h in each direction. Of course, there are a certain number of particular constraints to make this project achievable, primarily those concerning : the respect and regard of specific worshiped places as well as the acceptance of the inhabitants of such a structure in their town.
A4 Station : Located in a site between the tramway terminal and the bus stop, the project generates a square in the South. The building forms an extremely dilated passageway on the ground floor enabling a pedestrian flow between the public space and the bus stop.The volume of the station accentuates this flow and forms a rock stripe that turns and twines over the technical functions of the cable car. On the first floor, on the quay, there are moucharabieh-type openings enabling a controlled entry of natural light.
F Station : at the Mont des oliviers.The station develops a rock piedestal on the ground floor paced by large punctures that generate the different entrances and exits of the building. On the upper part, the volume welcomes the travellers and offers a 360° degree panoramic view. Specific work has been done on the horizontal part so as to accompany the view. Thermal confort is generated by stretched cables that link the roof and the floor.
