Web Element The web outcome to this brief was to be used alongside the print outomes. It is for a wide range of shareholders to engage with the brand in a more interactive way. Although aimed at all shareholders, the prime focus was for parents to use with their children to engage the children with the brand, the products and healthy eating. The concept was build around Ella’s Farm and the ingredients within the products to be characters on the farm. This meant that parents and children could use the site to educate whilst also creating some brand loyalty by the use of the characters. The site has been designed and fully coded so all the elements are active and work.

About the Publication

The publication element is about the brand of Ella’s Kitchen, this is broken down into 3 key areas; the story of Ella’s kitchen, the good stuff we do and the product range. These three areas hold all the information that is needed to inform the internal audience about Ella’s Kitchen.

Format

The A5 format was chosen for the format because it is a comfortable size to hold and read. The size of the publication also lends well to being posted, so all clients around the world will be able to receive the publication. The binding of the publication is the interesting part, this involves no glue or stitching, so it easy for the brand to mass produce, the front cover and middle publications acts as a locking device to hold the main publication together. This makes the publication more interactive and fun to read through also keeping in with the theme of the brand.

Concept of Publication

To keep the publication light hearted and easy to read, we have taken on a design aesthetic that is in keeping with the style of Ella’s Kitchen already - this was a key aspect for us. We developed characters which are taken from the ingredients of the products to run throughout the publication and web application to both make it more fun and enjoyable to read, but to also promote the aspect that the brand uses 100% natural ingredients and also organic products. The colour scheme throughout all products are taken from the colour of the ingredients, to bring the ingredients into the important information and bring it to life. Both of these design decisions are in keeping with the existing brand aesthetics and builds upon what they have already set in place.
