Our detergents are produced in our ecological factory in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France. We prefer to buy the ingredients from European partners to minimise the environmental footprint.
The factory operates with 100% renewable energy sources. The ‘green roof’ and the sustainable building materials ensure excellent thermal insulation.
The production process of the Nordic Swan products complies with strict environmental requirements. Manufacturing is carried out according to ILO (International Labour Organization) standards, ensuring socially responsible manufacturing. The ILO is a United Nations agency that specialises in labour standards.
We ensure that all employees can work in healthy conditions. For this we have the production sites audited according to the Sedex 4-pillar scheme for social monitoring of working conditions.

We are committed to making our products fit within the circular economy model, where there is no waste. The circular system has two material cycles: a biological cycle (residues return safely to the natural environment after use) and a technical cycle (product components can be reused at a high quality level). Our aim is to do everything right. In 2012, as pioneers we achieved certification for Multi Daily, San Daily, Multi Forte, Swan WC Daily and Multi Spray products. These were the first professional cleaning products worldwide to be Cradle to Cradle Certified®. In 2017, we continued with our dream of making cleaning circular. Our Re-belle microfibre cloth with Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze was next in line.
Greenspeed’s vision is in line with the Cradle to Cradle philosophy. We have the ambition to develop hygiene solutions with a positive and restorative impact on people and the environment. We want to make products where there is no such thing as waste.
We are always looking for healthy and recyclable materials that fit within the biological or technical cycle. We try to limit packaging. We use water and energy intelligently during production. And we make our production socially responsible.
Our first products were certified 10 years ago. These detergents are biodegradable, non-toxic, and safe for humans and nature. Since then, Cradle to Cradle has been our starting point for all innovations. Our products have to be surprisingly effective.
Cradle to Cradle is a sustainable concept whereby products are upcycled without any loss of quality. This circular philosophy is translated into the motto ‘waste equals food’.
The certification program is based on 5 pillars:

2. Design with reusable or degradable materials
3. Renewable energy
4. Responsible water use
5. Socially responsible manufacturing
EU Ecolabel looks at a product’s entire life cycle. This means from extraction of the raw materials until disposal of a product as waste. Our detergents, which barely have any impact on the environment throughout the entire life cycle, have been awarded this seal of approval.
Greenspeed microfibre cloths are the first in the sector in the Benelux to be certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel. In this way, we ensure an environmentally responsible manufacturing chain, the highest product quality and proven practical functionality. We take sustainability into account even when selecting packaging.
The Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute issues the Material Health Certificate for products that satisfy the strict requirements for material health, such as Greenspeed Original. The research gives insight into the use of chemical substances in order to improve them.
Probio Tab Multi and Probio Tab San are Ecocert certified. Ecocert takes into account four categories: a natural production and processing process, using natural or biological ingredients, responsible management of natural resources, and exclusion of most petrochemical ingredients.
