Greenfield Arts is 20 this year! We want to celebrate with the community that we love, the places, the people, the artists and creative community we are connected with. Connected: A state of being or feeling related to someone or something Our vision is to promote and stimulate creativity, questioning and enquiry to encourage and engage our community to explore a greater understanding of themselves and the world around us.

An exhibition exploring the connections and interconnections we all have. Julie chooses materials which reflect elements
of her childhood, combined with her flawed and imperfect memories, which results in her creations of uneasy beauty. Stories from the Hive brings together a collection of artworks created by Julie, inspiring us to consider the memories and connections in our lives.

Shildon in Motion is a celebration of Shildon’s rich and significant heritage as the world’s first railway town. This

Projects Opera North Greenfield Arts are delighted to develop work in partnership with Opera North. Young people from Greenfield Community College will work with this creative team to explore untold stories about our area. The group will develop this work through creative activity, discussion, developing voice, song writing and singing. The final piece will be shared at the Northern Heartlands/Opera North event in May 2020.

We are Greenfield Arts Greenfield Arts promotes and stimulates creativity, questioning and enquiry to encourage our community to explore a greater understand of
themselves and the world around them. To achieve this, we collaborate to produce and commission high quality, dynamic and stimulating arts and creative activity across a range of art forms. We inspire creative opportunities through the work we create and the environment we provide. We have an open and responsive approach to engage participants and develop audiences. Greenfield Arts has an arts centre facility based in Newton Aycliffe which is also the home to our Greenfield Arts team. It is a registered charity and has a strategic alliance with Greenfield Community College.
