Dos años más tarde, el 9 de noviembre de 1959, el museo se inaugura bajo el nombre de este personaje. This museum is located in one of the oldest buildings of Quito, dating from 1565. Here you can appreciate works and objects part of the history of the city. Additionally it also has temporary exhibition halls that invite you to visit this museum more than once. Tuesday to Sunday from 09:30 to 17:30
On April the 3rd 1957, Alberto Caamaño donated to the Municipality of Quito his valuable collection of art objects and documents. Two years later, on November the 9th 1959, the museum opened its doors under the name of this character.
