The Isle of Man provides a superb opportunity to balance the perfect work life balance. Great Outdoors

The are numerous clubs and societies, try your hand at some fly fishing, kayaking, scuba diving or fell running.

Health And Wellbeing

If it is some much needed down time and self preservation you require then the Island provides space for you to breath and relax. You know your home when you take that deep breath of sweet mountain air. Nothing quite revitalises the senses than dropping back into nature or visiting one of the Islands health spas or retreats.
Cold water bathing and swimming is rising in popularity and there is no doubt that the Island has a number of beautiful locations to submerse yourself. A plunge pool in a glen or a dip in one of the Islands coves.

Motorsport And Racing
Renowned for its connections with motorsport the Island is unsurprisingly home to a number of World champion riders and drivers. We are all to familiar with the Isle of Man TT but delve a little further and you will find events, rallies and collections that are world class.
The Manx Motor Racing club hold annual events seeing enthusiasts travel from across the world to partake in the 3 day hill climb, and if you enjoy a mixture of de restricted mountain roads and super cars then regular meets and tours are held throughout the year, often meeting at the Islands motor museum where a fabulous collection of vehicles are on display.
Life On 2 Wheels
There is a superb mixture of quiet roads and off-road tracks with ever changing terrain to challenge the most experienced of riders. But if it is a scenic ride you are after then the Island has really embraced the hobbie with an increasing number of forest and moorland trails dotted around the Island, quiet often supported and funded by local companies.
If you have the need for a little more adrenaline then hop onto an enduro or trials bike and head into the hills or to one of the Islands MX tracks. The Island has regular events held throughout the year and a well established motorsport club. World champions in trials and enduro riding continue to emerge from the Island, and have support from an entusiastic motorsport community.
GOLF & LOCAL COURSES
With 8 golf courses situated around the Island, there is plenty of opportunity to try your hand at a variety of locations and settings. In the south there are 3 courses with Castletown most renowned being set on a stunning coastal peninsula and featured in the Rolex world rankings.

Close by in the coastal village of Port St Mary there is the Islands only 9 hole course designed by the 1920 Open Champion George Duncan.
The Island is not short on laying fame to a name with Ramsey golf course designed by James Braaid, 5 times Open championship winner, and Douglas golf course designed by the famous architect Dr Alister Mckenzie who was involved with the development of Augusta National in Atlanta and Royal Melbourne Australia.
The Mount Murray Golf and Country Club provides the option to make a weekend of it playing an 18 hole championship course, with dinner and a weekend stay in the country club and hotel.

Equestrian
The Island has a large equestrian community all who enjoy riding in the stunning Manx countryside. There are options to get involved in a number of local riding schools and equestrian centres, who offer beginner training through to competing at a national level and hopefully onto international and world stages.

Around the Island there are a number of locations where you can enjoy a countryside trek through sheltered woodland, or gallop along some of the open sandy beaches, the views that can be enjoyed are simply breath taking.
For those wanting to push their ability, there are regular competitions held locally which qualify for UK national and international competitions.

FISHING FORAGING & SHOOTING
There are plenty of options available to fish local rivers, reservoirs and coastline. Applying for a fishing license is straight forward which then gives you the opportunity to catch and keep some of the Islands sought after fish stock. Free diving can also deliver some superb results finding local shellfish and perhaps complimented by some foraged samphire, mushrooms or mixed hedgerow berries.
There are local gun and rifle clubs offering the options to try a variety of disciplines. Air rifles, lazer tag shooting, clay pigeons or fully driven shoots.

The Glen Auldyn Shoot located in the north of the Isle of Man, near Ramsey is a premier, fully keepered shoot on the Island and set in a spectacular, partly wooded Glen.
Clubs can offer fantastic hospitality, knowledge and support.
