Grapoila products have been awarded with 11 stars on the well known international food contest, the Great Taste in 2020.

About us Grapoila vegetable oils are produced with the use of a clean and environmentally friendly cold-pressing technology, without any additives or preservatives. During cold-pressing we only use mechanical force to obtain the oil from the seeds. This way their valuable nutritional properties remain unchanged: the unsaturated fatty acids and the vitamines will not be decomposed during the process, so they can strengthen our health or nourish our skin. Our environmentally friendly “zero waste” technology ensures that there aren’t any unused by-products. Every part of the incoming raw materials will be used for production, primarily for food products, but also for cosmetics and animal feed as well. Our special pressing technology is under constant development to ensure the best quality at an affordable price, while having a range of products as diverse as possible. We currently use 19 types of seeds from which we press oil, produce seed flour, seed butter, and cosmetic products. The oils are packaged in dark colored glass bottles to conserve their outstanding quality as long as possible. The Grapoila quality has been recognized on the international stages: many of our oils and flours have won Great Taste stars, product prizes and innovation awards in the recent years. We attribute great importance to buying our raw materials from Hungarian or other EU member states whenever possible so as to promote the development of local economies. It is our mission to educate people to become more health and environmentally conscious. Our wholesome products are rich in unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins. Our constantly widening organic product range consists of products manufactured on our certified production lines. The organic products are made of raw materials that have exceptional nutritional values and originate from certified organic agricultures.

Raw Materials and the Production Process From the very beginning, we knew that high-quality products can only come from highquality raw materials. In order to make good seed oil, we need to use fragrant, flavorful, clean, and flawless seeds. Our source materials are first examined and subjected to laboratory analysis. Using these results, we can determine the purity, the expected yield, and the quality of the material. The analysis is followed by pressing and tasting. If we are happy with the taste (since we know this is what matters most to our customers) we start producing, filtering, and bottling the oil. Besides the taste we pay attention to health concerns as well: in the case of poppy seeds, for example, we also examine the morphine content, in case of apricot kernels the cyanide, and in case of the hemp seeds the THC content of the raw material. Only naturally-dried seeds are used for production, which aren’t subjected to heat treatment (roasting). No additives, flavoring agents, colorants, or preservatives are used on the products during or after pressing. The cold-pressed oils and their by-products contain all the valuable nutrients of the raw material from which they come. During production, we use a Zero Waste green technology. Even the raw materials we use are often the by-products of other industries, which were meant to be discarded. The first by-products of oil-pressing are the dry, low-fat pellets, that can be milled to produce glutenfree seed flours. These seed flours can be used by the bakery sector as excellent natural additives, or as substitutes for wheat flour. They can be used to enrich different kinds of diets. The other by-product, the oil mud containing the fine microparticles of seeds, is formed during the settling of the oil. These muds - depending on their attributes - can be used as gourmet butters, sandwich spreads, or natural cosmetics as well.

Cold-pressed oils – the healthy choice every day

About the cold-pressed oils? Fatty acid Composition Among the macronutrients that are essential for the human body (protein, carbohydrate, and fat), our oils represent the fat group. 15-30% of a person’s daily caloric intake should come from fats. As important it is to know this ratio, it is just as important to know the different characteristics of the different types of fats. Fats can be divided into two groups. Saturated fatty acids are mainly of animal origin, while a high content of unsaturated fatty acids can be found in vegetable oils. The recommended consumption rate is 1 :2, which means we should consume twice as much unsaturated fatty acids as saturated ones. Vegetable oils are extremely rich in unsaturated fatty acids, while containing only a negligible amount of saturated fatty acids. They also have a high amount of essential fatty acids (a special kinds of unsaturated fatty acids), which, while fundamental for the functioning of the human body, cannot be produced by it. The most important essential fatty acids are Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids. Ideally, they should be consumed at a ratio of 1 :4, yet people today consumes a lot more Omega-6 fatty acids (with a rate of 1 :10 or even 1 :30) due to the fact that meals prepared in refined sunflower oil have become more popular. This oil consists of 70 % Omega-6 fatty acids while its Omega-3 fatty acid content is less than 1 %. This is a serious issue, because it might be responsible for the emergence of several lifestyle diseases, such as allergies and inflammatory bowel diseases. Out of all the types of oils we produce, linseed oil contains the highest ratio of Omega-3 fatty acids, however, hempseed oil and sea buckthorn seed oil contain high amounts as well. These oils can therefore be used to decrease the unnecessarily large amounts of Omega-6 fatty acids in our diets. The consumption of fatty acids at an ideal ratio contributes to a healthy heart, vascular system, and nervous system, helps to maintain an ideal cholesterol level, and is also beneficial for our vision and skin.

Cold-pressed oils – the healthy choice every day

Vitamins and antioxidant ingredients Another group of active ingredients that can be found in seed oils are fat-soluble vitamins (vitamin E, A, D, K, and F) that are essential for the human body. The most important among them is vitamin E, that some of the Grapoila oils are outstandingly rich in, and has antioxidant effects. In some Grapoila oils (eg. grape seed oil, hemp see oil, linseed oil or black cumin seed oil) there are other special antioxidant ingredients naturally present, that play a key role in supporting the immune system and protecting the body against harming free radicals. Either consumed internally or used topically cold-pressed oils have big health benefits, nourish the skin and support their barrier functions.

Usage of cold-pressed oils One of the reasons why people consume cold-pressed oils is their health benefits. The other – perhaps more common – is their extraordinary taste and the various ways they can be used in the kitchen. Thanks to the gentle method of cold-pressing the oils perfectly reveal the natural taste of the original raw materials. They are perfect salad oils, can flavour meals, cold dishes and some (the ones with high smoke points) can even be heated to high temperature and used for baking and frying. Linseed-Olive Oil Mix Based on the recommendations of dietricians, this oil mixture (80% olive oil and 20 % linseed oil) was created to combine the unique physiological effects of olive oil and linseed oil, while ensuring a truly exceptional taste – mostly similar to olive oil. The purpose of making this mixture was to create a product that contains monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids at the right ratio, which is the best for the human body. The ratio of the two different types of oil also ensures a pleasant taste, since the slightly bitter taste of linseed oil is offset by the taste of olive oil without sacrificing any nutritional benefits. „Lin-olive” oil blend was developed in collaboration with igazioliva.hu – a special olive oil store and webshop. Thanks to its soft taste and good consistency, this flour can be used in many ways in the kitchen: it is a great thickener, and a perfect, glute-free alternative to the wheat flour. Due to its high calcium content, this seed had an important role in the ancient Chinese diet, since in the East-Asian region milk and dairy products were practically unknown. It’s one of the simplest flavorants, and can be added to various types of foods – even onto buttered bread. Packaging sizes: 200 g

Almond Butter Almond butter is the product that settles down to the bottom of the oil after the cold pressing of almonds, and contains all the valuable vitamins that can be found in almonds, but in a concentrated form. Its high vitamin E content has an antioxidant effect. Its choline content, which plays a role in increasing brain activity, is also outstanding. The minerals potassium, magnesium and calcium are also present in large quantities. Almond butter is versatile: it can be added to cake creams, baked into muffins or used in sandwich creams. For breakfast, serve it with toast. Packaging sizes: 200 g

Hazelnut butter Instead of artificially flavored hazelnut spreads, you can use a completely natural hazelnut butter made entirely of Turkish hazelnuts. It can be put on toast, into muesli, smoothies, shakes, and sweet pastries. You can make your own healthy hazelnut spread by mixing hazelnut butter with cocoa, cream and sweetener. Animal feed The majority of the cold-pressed oils are rich in essential fatty acids (Omega-3,-6), that can not be produced by the human nor the animal body, so they should be taken from food. Due to the effects of the modern lifestyle and the environmental changes the body needs more, they need to be added as dietary supplements. The pollution, the bad composition of foods, the parasites and pathogens, the increasing use of medications, food allergies and autoimmune diseases are all among the reasons. Omega-3 intake may reduce the risks of these effects. One of the sources is from deep sea fish. The best VEGAN source of the Omega-3 is linseeds (flax seeds), especially its concentraded form as cold-pressed flax seed oil. Omega 3 fatty acids taken from vegan source have special benefits: • they are not effected by heavy metal pollution (unlike deep sea animals) • can also be given in case of fish allergy • herbivorous animals can also consume it safely (for example rabbits and horses) Market trends, researches show an increasing demand on animal feed supplements, so we started Grapoilas feed product line “Animeal“ with the production of three different oil mixtures. In their composition we have used five different types of oils, that - due to their nutritional values and properties - can be used safely and effectively for carnivorous and herbivorous animals. The oils used for the blends (linseed oil, hemp seed oil, milk thistle seed oil, pumpkin seed oil and black cumin seed) are rich in polyunsaturated and essential fatty acids, vitamin E, polyphenols and other antioxidant ingredients, which have beneficial effects on the functions of the following organs:

Hand sanitizer

During the developing of the Grapoila hand sanitizer formula our main goal was to create the perfect disinfectant effect, while maintaining the skins health. This meant – according to our philosophy – the use of natural, plant-based ingredients. According to WHO’s suggessions, as disinfectant ingredient we use 96% ethanol, that is produced by the fermentation of locally grown maize. We dilute the alcohol with Roman Chamomile floral water instead of pure water, and boost it with nourishing natural ingredients like organic Aloe gel, Panthenol (provitamin B5) and vegetable Glycerine. The pure Spearmint essential oil provides a pleasant smell and is gentle to skin. All together they minimize the unwanted side effects of the usual hand sanitization process and the final, natural-based formula is an effective sanitizer that is extremly gentle to the skin, and can be even tolerated by children and people with sensitive and irritated skin.

Pork Tenderloin Noodles with Mustard Seed Flour

Ingredients: 500 g g pork tenderloin 200 g wheat flour 50 g mustard seed flour 4 eggs salt, freshly ground pepper dried and fresh basil 1 Chili 1 tbs Mustard seed oil Mix together the flours, 1 teaspoon salt, and the eggs, then knead it until you get a silky, no-lump noodle dough. Wrap it in foil and set it in the fridge for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 150°C for the meat. Roll the cooled down pasta dough to the thickness of about one, then stepwise make it thinner and thinner with a pasta maker. Once you reach the proper thickness (thinness) fold it up with plenty of flour, then cut it into stripes with a knife. This way you will get flat, broad noodles, like tagliatelle or fettuccine. Flavor the tenderloins with salt, pepper, and dried basil, then fry the edges of the meat in mustard seed oil over high heat. Roast it in the oven at 150°C for 20 minutes to get it well done. Boil the freshly made noodles for 2-3 minutes in salty water, drain them, transfer them onto a plate, and serve them with the sliced meat, sliced chili, fresh basil.
