Writing Well: Improve Your Skills and Enhance Your Message

Customer service training is crucial for any organization. Attitude is everything, and the quality of the interaction between your employees and customers can affect consumer retention and referrals. Learn about customer service skills, building customer loyalty, winning back unsatisfied customers, and creating effective first impressions.

Clear, articulate writing is crucial for professionals in any field, but not everybody is a natural writer. In this workshop, learn how to identify the needs of your audience and develop a strategy for customizing your message. This hands-on session gives participants the opportunity to improve or develop existing content, while exploring best practices and techniques for everyday projects like reports, proposals, and memos.

Communication Skills: Listening and Feedback

Providing feedback regarding performance gaps can cause any professional some anxiety. Learning to effectively discuss sensitive topics and remain composed is a critical management skill. Using tenets of emotional intelligence, this workshop helps participants develop skills to discuss performance with subordinates in a constructive, organized and reflective way to stimulate learning.

Listening effectively and providing constructive feedback are critical skills for any team. This training outlines the fundamentals of well-known communications models and helps learners recognize effective strategies to listen, understand, communicate, and be heard. You will practice active listening skills, the importance of verbal and non-verbal communications, and techniques to offer feedback in this hands-on session, which covers theory and practical strategies to improve communication.

Transitioning from Peer to Supervisor

Effective performance management requires practical and actionable knowledge. Participants will develop skills to interview, hire, and evaluate employees in order to build a positive and productive workplace culture.

When transitioning from co-worker to supervisor, it may be difficult for former peers to recognize the new manager as a leader. The new supervisor will need to consider—and potentially renegotiate— existing friendships and personal relationships. Gain skills, techniques, and guidance on how to ease tensions and manage this transition successfully.

Foundations of Management will help new supervisors thrive in their new management roles. Using interactive and engaging teaching methods, participants will learn effective managerial practices that will enhance their skills and prepare them to meet a broad range of strategic, operational, and work culture objectives.
