mac O’jima Well-traveled caller and Square Dancing Today magazine editor TONY OXENDINE finds enduring fellowship in an Americanesque, locally-iconic square dance caller named Mac O’Jima—better known to his crowd as “daddy”. It was “daddy” that introduced hundreds of his neighbors to our common interest of square dancing, and her we offer our humble “Thank You” for a lifetime of devotion. We at Grand Square, Inc., present images of Japan as we suppose it to be, and images that “daddy” wanted the American square dance community to see. In unedited form, we include his “History of Square Dancing in Japan”. —A Special Thanks To The Japan Tourism Authority—
