GRAND RIVER GALA Showcasing the diversity that exists within the GRA student body, both present and past, the Grand River Gala boasted a wide variety of silent auction items. This, with much thanks, is due to the many wonderful families, students, and businesses, both near and far, that donated their time and treasure. Several silent auction items featured baskets that highlighted student hometown areas. Areas highlighted include Texas, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Gettysburg, and Philadelphia (just a few of the many). GRA’s international diversity was also represented with artwork by Wilson Wang ‘16 and a basket representing Venezuela, home of Rodrigo Pascazio ‘16. The live auction item was a luxurious week long stay in Hilton Head, graciously donated by GRA Board Member Dr. John DeCato ‘80 that featured a condo with three-bedrooms, three baths, full kitchen, dining room, living room and laundry that was walking distance to private tennis courts and a pool, located just minutes from the ocean. Also featured was the raffle drawing to win a handmade oak table with wine rack. This table was made with reclaimed wood by the Strong Oaks Woodshop and was stocked full of Laurello Vineyards wine. SAVE THE DATE: Grand River Academy looks forward to offering another great variety of prizes at the 2016 Grand River Gala scheduled for May 7th!
