Dr. Roberts is director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center and executive vice president at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. St. Jude is home to the first and only National Cancer Institute–designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. Roberts also serves as full member in the Department of Oncology and holds the Lillian R. Cannon Comprehensive Cancer Center Director Endowed Chair. Dr. Roberts supports five major interdisciplinary research programs that are organized with the specific intent of translating basic science discoveries into curative therapies for children with cancer, while minimizing long-term side effects.

Dr. Rodriguez-Galindo is chair of the Department of Global Pediatric Medicine, director of St. Jude Global and executive vice president at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Dr. Rodriguez-Galindo is leading the St. Jude efforts to ensure childhood cancer patients worldwide have access to an increased level of care currently unavailable in lower- and middle-income countries. St. Jude Global’s mission is to improve the survival rates of children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases worldwide through the sharing of knowledge, technology and organizations skills.

Ross-Spang serves as Chief Human Resources Officer for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. She joined MLH in 2000 as vice president of Human Resources and was promoted to her current role in 2001. She received both a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. Ross-Spang is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the American Society of Healthcare Human Resource Administration (ASHHRA), and The Leader’s Board, a national group of not-for-profit human resource executives.

Cox Schafer joined Regional One Health as chief nursing officer in 2016 and was named executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2017. Schafer leads patient care services throughout the system including inpatient, outpatient and emergency nursing, as well as pharmacy, respiratory and dialysis services, in addition to non-clinical operations. Schafer has worked in nursing management and leadership roles for more than 30 years. Schafer also taught leadership to senior level nursing students for six years and worked as a coach for the Studer Group. In 2011, Schafer was appointed to the South Carolina State Board of Nursing, where she served as vice president and secretary of the board. She is certified as a nurse executive by American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and served on the Advanced Nurse Executive Certification Content Expert Panel from 2007 to 2014.
