InCharge HEALTHCARE 2020 career, Dr. Flynn has worked both in the St. Jude HIV/AIDS Program as well as a consultant for pediatric oncology and bone marrow transplant recipient patients at St. Jude. She has directed and participated in clinical research in both of these areas and participates in the training of pediatric infectious disease trainees. She currently serves as the Interim Executive Vice President and Clinical Director for St. Jude.

Dr. Forbes is Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare’s new academic group executive vice president. She will provide strategic leadership of Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, Methodist University Hospital and will work in partnership with West Cancer Center and University of Tennessee Health Science Center to enhance and elevate teaching, research, clinical and operational excellence for the patients we serve. She is a board certified physician executive with a Medical Doctorate from the Medical College of Ohio. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and a Master of Science in Healthcare Management from the University of Texas at Dallas/ Southwestern University Alliance for Medical Management Education.

Dr. Geiger serves as a senior vice president and the Deputy Director for Academic and Biomedical Operations at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Geiger joined St. Jude in 1999, and currently holds the St. Jude Endowed Chair in Pediatrics. Throughout his career, Dr.


Fountain, Baptist’s senior vice president and chief development officer, oversees the Baptist Memorial Health Care Foundation and Baptist’s corporate communications department. Fountain graduated from Iowa State University and has spent his entire career in institutional advancement. Outside of work, he serves on the board of the Medical Education and Research

Geiger has made significant scientific and clinical contributions. His research program focuses on immunologic diseases and cancer immunotherapy. Since 2006, he also has served as Medical Director for Clinical Pathology in the Department of Pathology. The department was the first in a children’s hospital in the nation to receive the College of American Pathologists ISO15189 accreditation. In his current role as Deputy Director for Academic and Biomedical Operations, Dr. Geiger is responsible for overseeing academic and biomedical functions within the institution.
