He was also the founding Medical Director of the CHRISTUS Health Plan and a practicing family medicine physician with the CHRISTUS Spohn Health System in Corpus Christi, Texas. Foster served as Executive Vice President of the Medical Staff at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi – Memorial. In addition to being a board member, Foster served two terms as chair, of the Nueces County Medical Education Foundation, a faculty practice plan affiliated with Texas A&M University.
