elite camp with some of the best coaches in the world Sommerlejr 2012
Vision: To attract the best coaches in the world to Denmark. Here they should cooperate with each other in order to improve themselves and thereby create the perfect table tennis experience.
Aims for the players: “You” as a player must be able to understand what training framework and attitude that is required if you want to reach international level. ”You” must achieve self-awareness as a player and take responsibility for ”your” own development.
This year we make new demand on ourself - The Chinese coaches that we fly in from China for this summer’s training camp are all former national team players. - There are 10 Chinese players sparring at the camp, these players come from table tennis schools and universities in the Jilin province. - All players at the camp will train 25 % with a significantly stronger player. - We make all food ourselves, in collaboration with a dietitian. - “Midnight Snack” at 21.00 o’clock. - Players with over 1800 in rating, after the Danish standard, are offered a 15 day training camp.
Our attitude to you as a player:
In cooperation with the Swedish federation:
We believe in your will! We meet all the players with the expectation that “you” are on the camp to do “your” best.
Last years’ camp was a success The 250 participants last year were pleased with our camp, it enabled European players to experience training camp after the Chinese standard in Denmark, with Chinese coaches in collaboration with top coaches from Scandinavia.
I am very grateful for the cooperation with the Swedish federation. They send their regional elite players to the camp. This means that at least 80 Swedish players will come again this year + some Wild Card’s that they have the opportunity to distribute. I hope to see you this summer Lars Rokkjær

What does a week trainings camp offer you? Preparation: It is important to us that training at the camp is linked to the training the player has in his own club. All players receive a mail with some questions, which they fill out with their trainer. The questions are: • What is the player working with the club at the moment? • What is the game plan for the player? • What are the player’s strengths in relation to the game plan? • What are the player’s weaknesses in relation to the game plan? • What is the player’s goal for his or her own development? • What do the player and the coach want us to work on ? Training at the camp: Each day players train 5 hours. • 2 1/2 hour multi - ball training. • 2 ½ hours of sparring In the multi - ball training, the players are gathered in groups of 10 players with a staff of three coaches. One of these coaches is also responsible for the training with sparring. The coaches collaborate: Through qualitative collaboration between the coaches three times a day, they create individual, continuous and competent training.
The head coach: One of the three coaches is The head coach. The head coach is responsible for the collaboration in the multi - ball training and is responsible for the 2 ½ hours of exercises in the large hall. Everyone gets 25 % sparring with a player better than themselves: One of the camp’s head coaches, Yu Chen He, has been in China in January 2012. She has made arrangements with talented players and coaches. The result is, that there will be 10 players in the camp as sparring for the best players. It is organized so, that the players when they exercise in the large hall, are divided into groups of 4 players. Each group IS offered a fifth player, whose level is higher than the groupS members. The sparring is reaches to all other players in camp, as players from group 1 are sparring in Group 2, Group 2 in Group 3 and Group 3 in group 4 Feedback dialogue: All players receive a feedback dialogue with a coach at the camp’s fourth day. Tournament: On the evening of 4th day, there will be a tournament, with participation of Chinese players.

15days elite camp After Chinese know how skilful players over 1800 rating, after the Danish rating system WILL be offered a coherent camp thru out 15 days. Each player is assigned a responsible head coach at the camp’s first day, the coach is responsible for the planning of the player’s training and follows the player throughout the camp. Players will have several coaches during the camp, but only the head coach is primarily responsible.
The goal of training: The goal for the 15 days is that the player improves his or her ability to win matches. The 15 days start by observing the player. The 15 days ends with a tournament, where the player must peak. The course will include that the player’s learn to know themselves better as table tennis player’s and understand how he / she build a capacity to play their best when they have to.
Starting in the game situation: These 15 days will be based on the match situation. Our talented Chinese coaches believe, that too many players are being coached from the training situation, not from the match situation.
This camp’s idea is created by three former Chinese national team players: Yu Han Chen, Yi Shen Li, Wang Chen
