VBS 2014 a HUGE SUCCESS Thank you to the fabulous volunteers who made this year's VBS, "Holy Men, Holy Women," a huge success. The adult volunteers and the youth volunteers were FANTASTIC. The children were AWESOME. And a shout out to the GSL staff who signed kids in, led the music, and generally helped out wherever needed. The kids learned about St. Lucy, Benjamin Franklin, Mary (Mother of Jesus), Bishop Romero, and more. Thank you to those leaders in the community who came and shared with the older youth. They heard stories about Fred Smith and the birth of FedEx, they learned about the benefit of recyclying eye glasses, they baked cookies, and heard about keeping the sabbath. If you would like to see pictures from the week, visit the GSL Facebook page (www.facebook.com/gracestlukes), the Flickr page (www.flickr.com/gracestlukes) and check out the flat screen monitor this Sunday, in the hallway just before you go into Trezevant.
