RECTOR’S REFLECTIONS Dear Friends in Christ, With great joy and anticipation, we announce our Growing in Grace Capital Campaign for Grace Episcopal Church! The Vestry and many of our gifted lay leaders have worked diligently to determine the future needs and potential for our congregation. We have asked ourselves, “What do we need to be successful in answering God’s call in our own generation?” We now have a carefully considered plan to address renovation, maintenance, building, and community outreach. Most of you are familiar with the basic plans: a new Nave and much needed renovations to the existing buildings. I invite you to help us make it a reality. Every household in our church is being asked to prayerfully consider making a financial commitment to this vision. We have all benefited from the generosity of past generations. Now it is our turn to pay it forward! We need your faithfulness in making a pledge for the Growing in Grace capital campaign, payable over 3 years. In the 21st chapter of Luke’s Gospel, Jesus reminds his disciples of the poor widow who gave only a single coin but was an amount far beyond her comfort zone. In this, Jesus assures us that God measures the value of a gift by the sacrifice one makes and not by the dollar amount. I encourage you to do the same – give sacrificially, guided by gratitude and God’s grace. It is my prayer that our congregation continues to be led by the Spirit, enlivened by faithful disciples, and empowered to transform the world. As always, I thank you for blessing others with your gifts, Peace,
