Spirit of the living God, fall fresh on me. Spirit of the living God, fall fresh on me. Break me! Melt me! Mold me! Fill me! Spirit of the living God, fall fresh on me.

The LORD Calls Us to Glorify and Enjoy Him

Assurance of Pardon: John 6:37-40 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. “Fountain of Never-Ceasing Grace” The Westminster Confession of Faith, Chapter III, 2-5

†Call to Worship: Sing to the LORD, all the earth! Tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and he is to be held in awe above all gods.

†Prayer of Invocation

Hymn 125 Congregation “Amen”

†Prayer of Intercession

Reading of the Law of God: Deuteronomy 12:1-7 These are the statutes and rules that you shall be careful to do in the land that the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess, all the days that you live on the earth. You shall surely destroy all the places where the nations whom you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree. You shall tear down their altars and dash in pieces their pillars and burn their Asherim with fire. You shall chop down the carved images of their gods and destroy their name out of that place. You shall not worship the LORD your God in that way. But you shall seek the place that the LORD your God will choose out of all your tribes to put his name and make his habitation there. There you shall go, and there you shall bring your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the contribution that you present, your vow offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock. And there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your households, in all that you undertake, in which the LORD your God has blessed you. †Prayer of Confession

Almighty and most merciful Father; we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep. We have offended Your holy laws. Though you call us to acknowledge, worship, and glorify you as the only true God, we have instead followed too much the desires of our own hearts. We have not honored you as God or given thanks to you as you deserve. We have participated in the world’s futile thinking and the darkness of its foolish ways. We have exchanged your immortal glory for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things. But, O Lord, have mercy upon us. As you have redeemed us out of bondage and slavery to sin, do not give us up to the lusts of our hearts, to dishonorable passions or to debased minds that do what ought not to be done. Restore those who are penitent; according to Your promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, that we may hereafter live a godly life, fleeing from all idolatry, looking only to you for all good things and glorifying you alone with our whole heart; to the glory of Your holy name. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Eternal God, who makes all things new and who abides forever the same: grant us to go forth into Your world in faith and in Your favor; that, being guided and guarded in all our ways, we may spend our lives in Your service, shining as true lights of Your lovingkindness to the ends of the earth, and finally, by Your grace enter in to the glory of everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Welcome We are delighted to have you worshiping and fellowshipping with us today! Our hope is that as the Word is read and proclaimed, as prayers are lifted up, as hymns and psalms are sung, and as the sacraments are administered, we will glorify and enjoy our Triune God together as his people. Please take a minute to sign our Guest Book on the table in the hall.

Communion Here at Grace, we celebrate communion every Lord’s Day, alternating between morning and evening services. The Lord’s Supper is an occasion for believers in Christ to meet with their Savior by faith, to be strengthened and renewed by him, and celebrate him. All who have been baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who trust alone in Christ as Savior and Lord, are a member in good-standing in a Reformed or Evangelical church, are at peace with their neighbor, and seek strength to live more faithfully, are invited to partake in this holy meal. If you are not a believer, or if you choose not to share in this meal, we invite you to spend this time in prayer. The outer rings of cups contain wine, the inner ring contains juice.

Nursery Care We enjoy having our children worship with us. Should parents need assistance with their young children, we have nursery workers available. A diaper changing station is available in the fellowship room by the restrooms. Please do not hesitate to speak with a Deacon if you have any questions. It is our delight to serve you and your children in any way we can.

Other Announcements Choir Ensemble – practice today at 5:15pm. Ordination & Installation Service Next Sunday – The session is pleased to announce that John Huisman has been elected to the office of Ruling Elder, and that Bob Keller and Benjamin Palmer have been elected to the office of Deacon. All candidates were elected unanimously. It will be our privilege and honor to ordain and install these men in the morning service on November 18. We will not have Sunday School that morning, and the service will be followed by a fellowship meal. Joint Thanksgiving Eve Service with Cornerstone OPC – If you are going to be in town Wednesday, November 21 then come join us at 7p.m. for a special time of giving thanks to the Lord for his many blessings from this past year. We will be joined by some families from Cornerstone OPC, with their pastor, Calvin Keller, providing a homily from a psalm of thanksgiving. There will be scripture readings, singing, a time of sharing thanks, a homily, and a time of prayer. So come on out and join us as we give thanks and praise to God together! Operation Christmas Child – Information brochures and labels are available in the office. The boxes will be collected the week of November 12-19. We need someone to volunteer to oversee this project, so please speak to Julie Huisman if you are interested. Library Development – we have continued to work on our library and it is looking great! If you have not been down recently to check it out, then please do so. I want to give a special thank you to Rose Aquavella for her tireless work in assembling, cataloguing, and maintaining a great Children’s collection for our Homeschool Resource Center! And thank you to all who helped move the collection out of the hall and into the library – things are really coming together!

Gracious Heavenly Father, would you grant us the grace to worship and adore you, so that we may be satisfied with a glimpse of your glory, seen perfectly in Christ, our Lord. As we worship, would you help us to gain new insight about the mystery and wonder of your love. And may we sense new ways to mirror that love in our world, through Christ, our Lord, Amen.
