It has been only released in France and Canada and only one volume was released. The comic book was published on 13 November 2009, a few days before Assassin's Creed II was released. The story is a retelling of events from Assassin's Creed and the beginning of Assassin's Creed II, mostly from the game's protagonist, Desmond Miles' modern perspective. However, events in the comic book are different from what happens in the game. This is a scanlation (the scanning, translation and editing of comics from a foreign language into a different language, usually without the express permission of the copyright holder; the word scanlation is a portmanteau of scan and translation), with credits unknown.
