It takes a lot to turn a company into a benchmark — even more so when the plan is to expand your business internationally. With 45 years of history and dozens of awards, Grafica Brasil, the biggest printing facility in the Brazilian Midwest, is one of the biggest and most technologically advanced companies in Brazil. Armed with this impressive portfolio, Romeu José de Oliveira will arrive in Miami later this year. In his company’s luggage, besides logistics, strategy and good quality, Romeu brings international certifications such as the ISO 9001:2008, which praises the company’s business management model; and the ISO 14001:2004, a prize given for its production process and its capacity to avoid any negative impact to the environment. “We are ready to fly higher than ever”, says Romeu José de Oliveira Júnior, the company’s engineering manager.

The company is the first Brazilian publishing plant to buy a KBA Rapida 130A, the only press able to print a 130 cm x 96 cm sheet size. They also have an Acoro A5 — one of four available in all Latin America — a binder machine that produces books with square spines.

The company has also a taste for charity, having also been awarded for its accomplishments in this field, like the donation of over one million books to schools and libraries. Another noble initiative is the creation of a waste-picker collective, which was put in charge of recycling the material discarded by the company, breathing new life into what would go to waste. “We are giving these young waste-pickers some hope for a better future”, says Romeu.

Owner of the biggest print complex in the Brazilian Midwest, Grafica Brasil has begun the expansion of its brand. The plant, which will occupy 30 thousand square meters of prime location, will be dedicated exclusively to high-quality printing.

Located in the heart of the country, the production area will stand near the Porto Seco DF Transportation headquarters, close to the country’s main roads and the International Airport of Brasilia. This will reduce costs and simplify product distribution. “This strategic location and smart distribution system allow our products to cross the country and the world in record time”, says Romeu.
